I love the various grille styles used on different Motorhomes. There's nothing wrong with stock, but I've seen pics of different grilles used on different GMC Motorhomes.
+1. .. An excellent 1970's era example of GM's capabilities .. Back in the day GM Corporate green-lighted the GMC division engineers and the GMC Motorhome was born. .. A profitable "too hell with costs" iconic RV project. .. Just think what a modern interpretation could be; Today's diesel V8 torque w/10 sp gearbox and a slew of enhancements, lightweight interior materials and at every turn today's technology; CAN Bus, etc. .. Varoom,, finish my stretched 30ft variant in understated '80's Porsche Stone Grey Metallic w/ black leather Recaro's. .. Daydreaming...
Oh Yeah! The Yugo. I just had to add that picture in the video. I hadn't seen one of them in years. A friend bought one of them new and he was so proud of it for about 2 weeks. If I remember correctly it only lasted that long. LOL.
Well not exactly free. Is does cost for the camping and a few other things but is will be the cheapest vacation you will have in a motorhome! Plus more fun and making new friends then you can shakes a stick at!
DOES anybody know just how many different GMC motorhome Models were available from 73-80? Ive heard of canyonlands, palm beach Glenbrooke & probably 5 more models, all GMC motorhomes. Did they make a different Model each year from 73-80??
The answer us two (2) models, 23' & 26". the names you list are interior designs. We had a Eleganza II for 14 years before we went to a diesel pusher, The GMC was a real class act Class A motor home..

I agree. I find it way more attractive than the Winnebago Brave of the same vintage. I also find it way more attractive than anything offered today.

My dream is to own one GMC and drive it to my fav. Spots on earth. Maybe one day,one day.

There is a video here on TH-cam of one that has been converted to diesel. I used the key word GMC Motorhomes to find it.

IIRC, the GMC factory built 12ea 30ft stretched production motorhomes.
