At last. A voice of reason. Keep this up, Son. We need to be educated The less we worry about trivial things, the more we can focus on ourselves. A topic of interest could be customer service. Shop keepers tend to think the customers are privileged to buy from their shops when it should be the other way around. They forget the customer has the option of shopping elsewhere.
If the plane was in Pom then there should be no excuse as it should have been reported and engineering would have rectified the problem.
But if the flight was outside Pom then, nothing can be done about the overhead locker till the plane returns to base (Pom).
Now if you travel frequently then you should know that Everything MUST be secured for take off and landing. That includes the locker. It shouldn't be left opened.
Thumbs up to the flight attendant who used her initiative to keep that locker closed.
If tape was used for a cracked window or or major fault then by all means jump up and down and cry foul.

About the bride price i have no say about that...
but for the cabin crew to use sticky tape.... that's a big slap on the face especially when you're an regular air new Guinea customer who pays quite a sums, i blame the lady but the question goes to the administration stuff, why sticky tape 🤣🤣😭😭💔
