Try white vinegar to clean the contacts & then bicarb solution in water to neutralise the white vinegar. Do not leave the white vinegar on longer than necessary & immediately use the bicarb to avoid corrosion from this process. Note that dry bicarb does not conduct electricity & needs to be removed from contacts. Your air pressure cleaner is a good idea.
