Have to disagree with you. The reason the ps5 pro isnt selling out is because there isnt a huge difference between the original and the pro, the the 700 dollar price point with an 80 dollar extension to play your disc games, and no exclusives to sell the system. The Switch 2 will successful because Nintendo will not sell it for 700 (probably 400 or a little more), maybe backwards compatable, and they will have (the most important) exclusive games for the switch 2 (games drive console sales not the otherway around). Exclusivity alone is why the ps5 pro (and why the xbox for that matter) are going to be more likely to fail since you can play them on A a pc or b on a cheaper console.
Man, I don't have any of the nintendo devices, and you cannot imagine how much I have been waiting for this switch 2 :))
Its been 7 years mate, Switch 2 will be a massive upgrade over the existing switch
We don't even really know what the specs are going to be so I think predicting sales is premature. We have to wait and see what happens.

Aye agree. Most pea pole are switching two pc gaming. Knew con souls are Moore expensive,But has less games each generation. Isle so, con souls charge you four own line.
Most of Nintendo fans are old school gamers,but most kids and teens grew up width PlayStation and Xbox.

I don't think it will fail. I also think it will be a pretty big leap. The leaks say the nintendo switch 2 will be as powerful as a ps4 pro. Look at the open world games on ps4 like Horizon Zero Dawn and Ghosts of Tsushima. Now compare those to tears of the kingdom. The art style in tears of the kingdom is great but the graphics leave much to be desired and can look very muddy at times. Imagine a zelda game on par with graphics like Horizon Zero Dawn and Ghosts of Tsushima while keeping that zelda artstyle. It would be beautiful. Not to mention nintendo is the only console that uses nvidia which have the superior upscaler DLSS and frame generation. DLSS could allow for 4k while docked. Both of those technology's will give us higher framerates and resolutions and do a better job at it than AMD FSR3 which is in the ps5 and xbox series X. Also remember tears of the kingdom only ran at 900p docked and would even drop below 900p at times to keep the framerate stable. I think the switch 2 is gonna be a huge leap. This is like going from the ps3 to the ps4 pro.
There's a chance unless there is a backward compatibility and the capacity to enhance or upscale a switch game.
With all respect but your theory is flawed. You compare ps5/ps5 pro to a Switch/Switch 2. Ps5 to Ps5 pro is an upgrade, while the switch 1 to 2 is a new gen. As in ps4 vs ps5.

I remember the days of 16bit to 32bit leap… I think you missed my point.. it was more about how people perceive the switch 2, most won’t be able to tell the difference… for hardcore gamers like you and I, yes, we can tell the difference, but the other hundred million who are casual won’t care
