I’m happy that you’re calling at this supplier because the saddest thing is that people, including myself, have been scammed or mistreated by suppliers but we don’t have the type of platform similar to yours. If the supplier doesn’t resolve the issue between y’all, I hope you do say who this supplier is, like their storefront name, so people are made aware of what risks they are taking buy purchasing from that supplier.
legally she has a right to complain, especially if there is undeniable proof of her experience.
Honestly - we should start a plattform somwhere were we can recommend seller and talk abou bad experience with sellers
It's completely understandable keeping your private life private. It'll keep you from getting overwhelmed and burning out. We all would rather have you keep making videos.
I find it so weird people think they are entitled to a content creator/influencer's personal life. As viewers we should be lucky you are letting us into your life at all. I love watching your videos keep up the great work!
I haven’t even finished watching this video when I write this. As a women who struggled getting pregnant…. DO NOT ASK A WOMAN, ANY WOMAN, IF SHE IS PREGNANT
Thanks for coming to my ted-talk.
Any person :)
You are pregnant? Or just fat?
Someone asked me that one time in the bathroom at a buffet. I was like 🥴🥴🥴
@@mstamalaj Yeah, they did, food baby!
Right? Isn’t there another way you can strike up a friendly conversation with someone you really don’t know. Especially since whether your pregnant or not will not affect them in any way once you leave the restroom.
I love seeing Kaylee being assertive and standing up for herself while taking care of an actual unicorn. It’s a ✨vibe✨
Your such an inspiration to me. You set boundaries and live within them and stay true to yourself, it's refreshing and inspiring to see. Love your videos!
They should have insurance on that plant delivery for in case it went missing, so they should be able to claim on that and refund you. Unless they didn't pay for shipping insurance.
I love how giddy and excited as a school girl you get about the possibility of growing pumpkins. Look into what I like to call Lumpkins! They are so freaky cute looking!
😅😅 same! I can totally relate to getting fixated and super excited about a planty project - my latest is growing pea shoots!
Thank you for letting people know not to make assumptions! I get people are curious about you but be mindful. Love the way you set boundaries and let people know your private life is not an open topic 💚💜💙
I know this is an old video but thank you for sharing what you do with your life and please don't let people pressuring you into sharing more. We appreciate your knowledge and your channel so much!!
Kaylee Ellen I love your channel. Love that you keep stuff private, and that you are such a fair person. I think you are a beautiful person, inside and out.
Wow. Just, wow. So many updates. So much stress. Hang in there Kaylee! Thanks for sharing with us and just being you ❤
As a cheap backup, recommend to get a couple battery powered air pumps with large air stones. True life saver as air is the first thing to go. When I had tanks, ice storm had power out for a week. Those pumps saved a majority of my tank.
You can even purchase some that stay plugged in and remain off until power gets cut, then they come on automatically. I believe Penn Plax makes one.
Yes for any other fish nerds reading, I LOVE the Nicrew USB air pumps... Three levels of air force so it's flexible for different airline hose lengths/number of splits, USB so you can plug it into the wall or a USB charger (I'm in Canada but had to order from the UK - no problem because I just switched out the block). When the power goes out you can set it for either continuous air or intermittent "emergency" mode where it comes on for a minute every 5 minutes to prolong battery life. I ran one on continuous low for 8 hours on a single charge. Also great for transporting fish in the car.
Parts of the garden where pumpkins will grow can also host spring bulbs, that would allow it to look great most of the growing season. And they wouldn't fight for space. And with so many types of pumpkin, you can find many uses for them besides eating.
You’re so beautiful and knowledgeable and I hate that people feel like you owe them info about your private life or that they can basically insult you by saying you look pregnant. I appreciate your videos and can only imagine what it’s like dealing with so many people and their opinions.
No private life on the internet is incredibly healthy! I applaud you!! I’m the same with social media, haven’t posted in years and I wouldn’t change a thing…
BUT (just for laughs!!) I will confess that I did low key ship you and Ben in your plant shop documentary last year!! LOL 🙈😅 positive planty vibes to you from Brooklyn NYC ! 💚
Outdoor garden idea: lavender. It thrives in poor dry soil, as I understand. It grows profusely in my Canadian, inland BC property, and it gives a full chic look without any effort. I'm harvesting its flowers at the moment to dry so that I another year if supply for my occasional lavender tea. 😉
The pregnant thing 🙄 imagine you WANT to get pregnant and it just doesn’t work and then people ask that.
I know yeah. It's such a personal thing!
Happens to me all the time and it's frustrating as all Hell 😤
@@KayleeEllenOfficial You should make a video telling people it is none of their business, and you will block them if they do. That is so personal. I have evolved. I always thought women who didn't want children were selfish, until I had children on my own. Women are the bomb!
Speaking from experience it’s one of the most cruel things I’ve experienced!
Yeah, I’m wearing those shoes and boy do they pinch.
How awesome to spend almost an hour and a half with you💖!!! So happy that your fish all survived 🎉🎉. The three plants are beautiful. So excited about your brand of plant food and possibly a new substrate 🤩🤩. I love hearing about your new house! I love all of the HGTV stuff!!! Pumpkins are awesome and very fun!!! There isn't much to not like about Artichokes. Palms and ferns and other greenery is a fabulous beginning. For seasonal color you can add perennials and bulbs when you are working more specifically on your decisions. EXCITINGGGG!!!!
It sounds that you are absolutely correct about the horse seller. 😞. Unfortunately,I know several people dripping in money, whether it's from their accomplishments or their family's. They have their own regular attorney, who is usually part of a firm. She probably had one conversation with the attorney or assistant and they took notes, hence bringing up the son's weight. She probably said,I am not taking it back and am not paying anything, take care of it!!! The End. That explains your random, general, lazy looking reply. It has happened to me, unfortunately. You stay tough, you are the one that is right and cares about the horse's welfare. Same with the plant seller, stay tough!!! These jerks, should not be acting like this and making you wonder about flooring or finishing your teeth!!🖕them!!! 💓💓💓💓💓💓💓
As someone who deals with international logistics quite a bit, from a terms standpoint, basically any business under just about most forms of incoterms would be responsible for your plants or whatever the purchase may be until it clears customs in the destination country AT A MINIMUM. Even under terms where the buyer arranges the carrier, the supplier must supply both the information and a product able to clear customs on both ends.
I'm really invested in that horse update 🙂👌.
I can’t imagine the stress with having such a complex tank in an outage! Mine was simple cichlids that were tough and that was stressful enough! Good luck with everything! Hope everything works out and thank you for being you ❤️
I live in the USA, and i had a garden year round. In planning my garden, i went to road side fruit and vegetable stands and spoke to those farmers and asked for ideas. I learned to plant cucumbers around the periphery of my garden cuz when they bloomed they smelled like rattle snake and kept the bunnies out of my garden. I also learned something from each person i spoke to. Pumpkins are so delicious to eat as veggies. You will enjoy learning from others. Get a notebook and take a road in the countryside.
.....Pumpkins taste nice...?
About the privacy and personal thing, I completely agree and support you. I'm actually shocked how many people basically share their whole life with their viewers.
Always appreciate the "grab a drink and grab a snack" reminder. I haven't drank anything in almost 12 hours, causing my autoimmune disease to further bully me. Thank you, Kaylee. 💖
I just love you and I'm so happy you are you. No matter what the topic is you never hold back. Thank you!
Growing pumpkins is not random at all !!! Growing your own food is actually badass and I would love to see gardening content from you ! 🌱
I appreciate you setting your boundaries and communicating them so unapologetically with the audience. Reminding us that we only know what we know and that assuming anything else isn't required to have a good experience. the slow zoom was everything :)
I’m glad to hear you’re keeping your private life private. I’ve seen how other TH-camrs have had their family attacked for multiple reasons. So it’s completely understandable to hear your views on it.
As for pregnancy - agreed no one should ask a woman that. I’ve heard too many women talk about their fertility struggles while their body constantly changing with menstruation etc. So they’d constantly get the question. It needs to stop. Period.
Also - just bought a Homalomena Rubescens Variegata and I can’t wait! It’s more of a splashy variegation and I know it will likely get a bit of shock upon arrival but I’m excited af to see it grow. Hopefully I can up the variegation.
It's so refreshing to witness your healthy boundary-making. Thank you for modeling that. I also really appreciate you saying that people wouldn't know if you would be the one who would be pregnant. I'd really like to see increased awareness and less assumptions on this topic.
please keep making these sort of 1hr+ videos, it's really nice to have in the background while doing plant chores :)
You’re beautiful as always! You have every right to privacy and I’m here for the plant content(really invested in the horse debacle) but overall love the content you make truly!💚
Set them boundaries girl! Good for you people need to be told it’s none of their business more often. 💕
I respect and love how you keep most of your private life out of your videos. I must admit I am extremely curious to see a picture or video perhaps one day of your aquarium cause it sounds amazing.
Something I really enjoy about your videos, is that I feel like you are very personal with us in a way even though you dont share some parts. So I dont see any issue at all with you not wanting to share everything. Love your content!
Love to hear your updates, although I am sorry you are having a rough time rn. Looking forward to the fertiliser
I put this on for company while I repot some new plants, I was so happy to see Kaylee was going to do some repotting as well 🤩 my collection isn't very exotic or interesting but I'm quite fond of rehabilitating plants. I've learnt SO much from this channel, thank you!
Plan your garden for the winter first with trees and shrubs that will give you nice fall colors then plant perrenials then bulbs for spring color then plant annuals for summer color
I immediately thought, “I wonder how many ppl are going to be gossiping that they’re positive you’re a lesbian now?! Lol! I have to say that I LOVE, I’ll say it again, I LOOOOVE how private you are. Also I would love to see those rare plecos!
I get the best ideas from you and you make me feel so good about myself. Please never stop making videos. Regarding asking if someone is pregnant is typically done by someone who is jealous of your appearance and trying to hurt your feelings. They are pathetic and mean.
I have to say it is very refreshing that you don't want your personal life on the net, Kaylee. These days people will put any n everything on here and w/this being a plant care channel, I agree that your personal life is YOUR business, no one else's. I applaud you for keeping some things sacred and for those who do find offense at this, they can always tune out, right? Anyways, I'm here for your planty content which I appreciate and wish you all the best, my dear!🙏😇
I have the most highest respect for you. More so now knowing how you feel about sharing your personal life. There's somethings that you should keep to yourself. Thank you for already sharing a big part of your life with us.
I watch you all the time and you have NEVER looked pregnant!! You are gorgeous!! You have the cutest shape and i wish you happiness and love and all your dreams to have come true.
Love the longer videos 💚 can't wait to see your house once it's filled with plants! As for your garden, I think the ferns would look amazing. Here in the states we have tons of hosta varieties and some are pretty interesting looking, I've been trying to get different kinds for my yard and they grow nice and bushy.
P.S. you look AMAZING, and those pants are so cute!!
I see a 1.5 hour long video and get sooo excited, please never stop making these
I LOVE FERNS! I have a ton of shade and big oaks in my yard. So far I've got Himalayan maidenhair ferns, rosey maidenhair ferns, Japanese painted, a godzilla japanese painted ferns, autumn ferns, ostrich ferns, and the native wood ferns. Columbine and bleeding heart make beautiful fern adjacent plants as do begonias. Bearded irises look good mixed with ferns, and hostas. Also, a pumpkin vine can easily get 15 feet long.
You look so exquisite!! Don't let anyone tell you differently. Thank you for all the helpful information!! Your videos are amazing!!
For your garden I would personally say that heucheras would be worth looking at as they come in autumnal colours and they’re evergreen andddd they have subtle flowers throughout the year which bees love ♥️ hope this helps
I always get so excited for Friday's. It's my day off, pay day, and new Kaylee Ellen content. People can suck, you handled that well. I'm a perennial farmer/gardener by profession. Look into alstroemeria. You might like Ajuga as well
I would love to see videos of you decorating and organizing your new home. Also more vlog style videos!
I completely agree with you, and you are so brave to share this, what you are doing is VERRY settle and calm, you are such a big inspiration for me, so keep up the awesome work 🪴🙏🏼👸🏼
I just started into outdoor gardening here in east coast Canada. I have fallen in love with nasturtiums they are edible and have beautiful orange hued flowers that bloom late season. I highly recommend them for Halloween vibes.
This is my second year outside gardening. I did pumpkins last year for my kid and dogs. They take over the garden! I planted artichoke this year and they need a lot of space, 1 plant needs 4'×4'! But the huge jagged leaves are pretty sweet looking! And I don't eat them either, but my daughter and her dad do 💚
Happy gardening inside and out 💜
Love the long video!
your amazing! I love that you stay true to keeping your private life private.. its NO ONES BUSINESS!!
Pumpkins are so easy to grow! I put them on an arched trellis, trim off runners and just let them do their thing. The pumpkins hang under the trellis as it grows. It's great. I just grow them for fun and decor, not eating. Highly recommend growing them.
Oh my gosh. I’m totally obsessed with pumpkins also. They make me so fing happy!!!
Also, your house goals sound almost identical to mine. Love it! Can't wait to see pics of yours - we start building next year, but will have a shop house- half garage, half house. Lots of jewel tones and neutrals mixed, but balanced and cozy. 💖
I took my HUGE White Butterfly Syngonium off of its pole to let it trail. I got the idea from you & it's beautiful! A little rocky at first but it's a show stopper now! You have to have a big one in your house💚
Kaylee, I wish you all the best, especially with your new home and your pumpkin garden. To be a public person can be tough, privacy needs protection and thinking twice about every information you share. As somebody who always has a thing with work life balance and this overachiever habits, I hope you have some time to think a bit about, if this working from and showing your home is a good and healthy decision, when it comes to mental and personal health we all should take care of our selfs. All the best.
Yes you look healthy 😍 That homalomena is amazing!! I've had one for 3 years & I love it!!
If you want pumpkins for the halloweeny vibes but don't want to dedicate loads of space to them - you can buy climbing pumpkins. I think they're called Jill Be Little. They're smol and cute and I still managed to make a load of pumpkin soup with them last year!
For a Halloween garden plant I’d look into heucheras they come in orange, lime green, purple and a really purple purple called black pearl. Very Halloween vibes
Really dark purple lol
Love heucheras! One of my favourite plants!
That’s a great suggestion!
Steve’s Leaves has a lot of black or deep red begonias. Very goth. They have a dark one with lime green lightning ⚡️. Raven Zz is almost perfectly black.
“Stop babying plants so much” YESSS!!!!! Omg THIS!!!!! too many people freaking out literally thinking their plant is on the brink of death and it’s nowhere close!!!! Plants are sooo resilent! They want to thrive! I wish more people understood it’s just not that serious. Your plant is fine.
I know you're much too gracious of a person to ever tell, but I'm dying to know which influencer threatened to sue you🤣 Love ya girl, I really think you'll win in court and get your money back and when it's all over, everything will be good and back to normal and happy and not stressful!!' You so deserve that!!💜
You are not alone in the horse situation, alot of bad sellers around. Hope you get your money back and the horse get a owner that have that it takes to deal with the horse. And you get a horse that you can have fun with and enjoy. Best luck from me and my 2 horses.
If I were you, I would be wearing short shorts in that humid room. Love your take on this video. Love your videos. Also,I grow all my hoya in lecca and pon, and they love it.
I remember making a comment not to far back on another video about how you should be using your influence to better help the plant community because at that time I felt that you were more interested in protecting yourself over the community. This video is a great response to that. This is not just about protecting your investment. This happens all the time even in domestic sales here in the USA. Most sellers will refuse to do anything for you as long as they shipped the plant. Some have long disclaimers saying that after it leaves their hands theres nothing they can do. No refunds or replacements. The community of private sellers here in the US have set a terrible precedent with how you should treat your customers. I have a very similar refund policy as you do and I find its because of that I have customers come back time and time again. Thank you for using your influence to make a positive change.
Artichokes are awesome and so fascinating to grow. How to cook....Steam them and make a garlic aioli dipping sauce, then enjoy 😉. They can be work to eat, like de-shelling a crab, but sooo worth it! Delicious!
After a kind of failed pumpkin year, I have learned the coolest thing! You self pollinate your pumpkin flowers, and then you tie them shut with a piece of twine. Beautiful and fast pumpkin development!
Also, grow a sugar pumpkin and make pumpkin pie. Or pumpkin pecan oatmeal. YUM.
For a fall garden, I recommend dahlias (they flower until frost but you will probably have to lift the tubers each year depending on your growing zone). Japanese anemones and asters are perennials that will come on in autumn. There are some really neat varieties of each out there! If you are looking for gardening tips for plants you end up growing, I recommend using The Well-Tended Perennial Garden by Tracy DiSabato-Aust as a reference. For your pumpkins: not sure if they ship across the pond, but Baker Creek Seeds is an awesome source for super cool ornamental pumpkin seeds. I'm growing them vertically for the first time, which is an incredible space saver and can be really neat over an arbor, pergola or tunnel.
Some ppl are just plain rude. Youtubbers dont owe it to you to share anythg. Im glad you call them out. I watch your videos for your plant and plant knowledge. Not for your private life.
it's crazy to me that people don't want to hear about the horse stuff! i saw this pop up and was like yes horse update lets go 😂
I may not agree with you on everything you talk about but I respect you and your impeccable integrity, as long as you are doing what you truly believe is the right thing, then that’s all you can do. I admire your true grit TBH. Good on you for finding the best way you can to conduct yourself without letting people take you for a ride. No wonder you’ve done so well in your endeavor. Also, it’s a true testament to how good you are at sharing your area of “expertise” that even tho you don’t fall back on sharing topics such as love life or family planning etc (like so many YT influencers do), you still have a massive following. I take my life lessons from those such as you. 👏👏👏
For your garden if you like autumnal colours you should look at some heuchera, there’s tonnes of varieties and there are some dark purple/ auburn varieties that are very autumnal and look that way all year!
Im buzzing to pick up your feed when its available, well exciting! 😍🐸 keep well henny 💚
The quintessential autumn plants are maple trees! I love Japanese maples as they can pair well with fernery and provide extreme colour in autumn! Also some Australian tree ferns may look nice in the borders!
Had bad storms about two weeks ago. There were so many trees up rooted that you had to take 6-8 detours everywhere you went. My neighborhood was with out power for 86 hours. Temps were almost a hundred degrees with humidity around 90%. I have a small aquarium and I manage to keep all of my fish alive. I put a lot of pothos cutting in the water to help with ammonia and water clarity.
Pumpkins come up in our chook run and need no care and you have beautiful big pumpkins come autumn with no effort. Apple trees are great, spring blossom and autumn fruit. Maybe hazelnut bushes? I do love my food plants. Maple and oak trees are the best in Autumn and you can get dwarf ones if your yard isn't huge. Crepe myrtle is another good one, the bark on those is really pretty in winter, masses of flowers in summer, colour in Autumn, it looks great every season. Also I love bulbs, like daffodils snowbells hyacinth etc, and sprinkling cosmos and marigold and poppy seed like confetti and having them pop up everywhere.
Pumpkins are beatilful plants. I planted a Hokkaido Pumkin this year in my raised bed that we built out of pallets. I let the vines climb around it. It worked good so far. I have six pumpkins which are almost ready for harvest. One could also use a rose arch and bind the vines up. I wish you luck with you pumpkins.
33:45 I'm DYING to see your new house! And I love the fact that you're going to record at home again. When are you inviting me over for tea and crumpets?! I can bring paint and fabric samples :) You KNOW this is totally my vibe!
Love your rawness. Thank you. Keep it going🤘
I wasn't sure what you were saying until I found info on phytosanitary certification. Wha a pain. Can't wait for the update.
I live in South Central Alaska and perennials in my garden that come up in our "spring" and confirm for me that I've survived another long dark winter are Trollius, Iris, and Tiger Lily.
There really must be a zeitgeist! I have just this evening ordered artichokes and pumpkins for my new garden! Can't wait to see them in a, hopefully, 'tropical' setting.
Also with the garden; do tree ferns! They're so beautiful and they give a rainforest kind of vibe 👌
Thank you for the bits of the video on the issues with the supplier and the issues with the pony. It was YOUR videos that were the inspiration and the education that got me into plants and my small plant business. A year ago I experienced a difficult breakup that resulted in me also losing my living situation and losing my business location. I had to liquidate my inventory overnight to avoid just leaving my plants behind. I'm just now reestablishing myself and Benning to think again on rebuilding my business. At the same time I'm facing a new legal issue with the previous partner that spawned these life changes and feel daunted by being taken advantage of financially and having limited resources to defend myself and simply stand up for what is right.
On one hand, this person has taken my entire lifestyle and livelihood from me, and ai wasn't in a position to fight it. I'm not really in an improved position now... But am so fed up with being walked on that I feel the strong desire to stand up to him legally, even if I don't necessarily have the financial resources to do so. It's an overwhelming task but on the very same morning when I finally decided to state my intent to pursue legal action, happens to be the same morning when I tune back into your channel after a year of being away, and you greet me with your own justified intent to stand up for yourself in the face of entities larger than yourself. It was a message I needed to hear, when I was on the fence about standing up for what is right, or just being "small" to avoid further hardship. Thank you for your videos, your knowledge and your general character and approach to difficult situations. ❤️
I am glad I am just a local plant buyer , I buy plants from facebook market place and nurseries around the region , I am loosing out on some plants but I am content , I have not ordered plants online because the horror stories outweigh the good ones , I wish it was better.
Use spring bulbs for your spring colors and a tree like an amelanchier that will give spring blossom and autumn color in the leaves. Try going to a garden center once a month to see what is flowering or has other special interest that month to get something interesting each month (I love the color of peonies when they emerge and rhubarb might do it for you)
Heuchera for autumnal colours and low maintenance ground cover. Pumpkins and gourds are great, tubes next to the baby plant to help directly feed roots can be handy :)
Love your updates and your content. Hope all goes well and keep positive 🙌
Coral bells 😍 sedums!! For colder weather and fall colours!!!
Pumpkins are great, and very easy to grow! (Even in pots;) Try some smaller forms, that are often used for a decorations. They're so adorable!
Pumpkins are so easy to grow and the vines and flowers look amazing! They grow quickly, and you have a ton of varieties to choose from. They come in different colors too. If you think you might want to eat them or make pies, I recommend sugar pumpkins. They're smaller than the ones you carve, but those ones tend to be bred to be big and thick, not really tasty.
Artichokes are beautiful! If you don't eat them, they turn into giant purple flowers! They're related to thistle, so if you've ever seen a purple thistle flower, imagine a blooming artichoke as looking like that but 50 times bigger!
I love growing pumpkins. My suggestion for a good looking garden year round even in the winter is to find plants that have a cool winter texture, flowers that turn into large seed heads, or dry really pretty. The Mid-Size Gardener here on TH-cam is a UK gardener and her channel has tons of great tips.
Omg.. that's is exactly what i used to initially for my aquariums untill i got power back up.. and also good to get battery operated air pump.
I don’t know how I missed this video. I have found that, whenever dealing with people, outside of my chosen groups, I find myself saying, “I can’t believe I have to say this”…or “…do this.”. I find people lack brought-upsy. 😊
Hi Kaylee for the fishtank get yourself a powerbank it should get your bubbler and your heater thru a few hours of no electricity. I also have a battery operated fishtank bubbler for emergencies so I just make sure I'm stocked up on some batteries for when I need them.
Pumpkins! I love growing pumpkins, all vining plants really. I'm sure they will look cool in your garden. They take up a lot of space and don't like a lot of water. Best of luck!
I agree 100% with you and I am glad you are standing up to this.
I love your videos first and foremost. I'm in tears after your discussion of being asked about personal stuff. It's no ones business period. Lots of viewers just love you no matter what, count me in! You're adorable 💕 No 💗 creepers. Just 💯 support Chica! Keep on rocking! I'm trying videos too. Do you record on a phone or another device? Is there a mic you recommend? I have outdoor gardens and indoor plants. Thanks 💋
