As a dude that recommended the same during a stream of yours as these fellow badasses, I appreciate the time you took for this video and breakdown, keep being awesome my dude 🤙
I knew someone else mentioned it! Sorry I didnt screen cap! Glad you enjoyed it. Again, happy the breakdowns make sense for people. I tried to make time to mix what I'm interested in with suggestions.
@@Dwarvenmissile Oh sweet! I didn't know that. I should use that flail in a set dedicated for that. Its got some cool options between the 3 elements. Could even crisscross some now that I'm thinking it.
WIll also add here that its very possible to make this a pretty straight up caster (which will be real neat w Crown Paladin later on when that drops). So you run Draconic Bloodline (Acid) 9 / Thief 3 on the caster, using more or less all your slots for sorcery points. Possibly keep a few for counterspell or strong concentration options. Then pump out 3x of these little splashes a turn. Each w their +15 to the damage from the spellcasting items. Can possibly even run the hat for 22cha and boost that damage even more. Now we give our frontline fighter some resistance (Varsh Ko´kuu´s boots), if we got a Paladin as a frontline they will most likely pass the save for the splash and take half on their already havled damage. Or we could use a Barbarian as the frontline and that would also be very likely to pass the save (especially if we give said barb the Dex Gloves). On a side note, Giants Barb would be amazing to help group more targets for the sorc. Toss in someone w Black Hole, or give it to either the frontline or the sorc. Especially true if we have someone using them as a BA. So now we have a 3x/turn aoe that will most likely hit 1-3 targets doing 3d6+15 base. So if one target fails the save on every one, we are looking at 9d6+45. Which in itself is decent all around when it comes to damage. But how often cant we group two people here? Three people? Abuse a doorway and force the enemies to cluster together? Not counting Rhapsody, Not counting the extra damage from Markoheshkir or the fumes overlapping on targets. w a bit of party planning around it can this be one hell of a caster just pumping out acid splashes for some insane damage after like lvl 6 or so.
Not sure what you mean 3 casts per turn on the cantrip. Are you blowing all your meta magic? I could see that then. You can go just caster without the gloves and then the Cantrip boosts. A weapon user can go Melee or Archer with Drakethroat and Caustic ring and gloves. Cantrip user already has area damage. So, weapon user can get those gloves to benefit, plus reverb boots. Also, for setup, just cast Minor illusion and get everyone to clump into a spot for the Cantrip. Weapon guy can follow up, and someone can cast Plant Growth and Hadar. Honestly, a Warlock + Sorcer combo sounds super fun now.
@@gar-sen 3x casts through blowing all the sorcery points yes. keep some high level slots for the concentration or just blow everything on sorcery points. There are a fair bit of concentration and single use spells on short rests. And id honestly toss Stormy Clamour boots on a caster like this. Run it w Potent Robe/Acid Gloves/Elemental Augmentation/ Coruscation Ring./ Ring of Mental Inhibition Still gives you one slot open head wise (birthright might be the best in slot tbh). But it will bank a bit on getting that first fail on a save (which is pretty possible considering just how high the DC can get). One failed save will inflict a drain on every single save as well as attack roll on the enemy while still doing very respectable damage. Could also just not burn every spell slot and use high level Hold Person/Monster for the melee martials who could speacilize in things like knocking enemies prone for the Acid Splash to be more succesful. And honestly yeah, Sorc/Warlock could be one hell of a combo. Would say toss in a Fighter w Drakethroat or Mourning Frost. Going full on "ice per hit and encrusted with frost" to both make enemies prone and make Hadar stronger.
Haha. No problem. I actually want to play that, too. This is how I get fun ideas for runs. stock pile 4 of these up and I got another honor run I NEED to see to the end.
@@gar-sen I think it would be cool to go full retaliation build. Like a pure blade lock with force conduit armor and halberd, holy lance helm, and the acid gear. You would need to be a gith so you could get heavy armor with your first feat if you wanted to use the armor early. Or maybe do a one level dip in tempest cleric to get armor and that electric/thunder retort?
@@catztail I think I'm going to test it using a Dwarf instead with Toughness, because I'd want the HP since I'm deliberately trying to make a guy who wants to take hits. Thats my guess. We'll see what I can come up with.

Hey Garsen! Love your videoss, could u do a monk warlock multiclass build next time? I saw a recent video of yours which suggested the idea and i loved it. Imagine punching through your enemies for then an eldritch blastt to finish them. Greetings from Argentina!🇦🇷
Well, then, I apologize. I was about to make the current runs M.C. literally what you just said. One of my favorites is this mix: 4 Way of Hand Monk --> 4 Warlock (any) --> 4 Thief Rogue You'll see this soon enough, but if you don't want to wait... Monk punching is strong early game with Tavern Brawler at 4 and STR Elixir all game. At 5, when you go Warlock, your Eldritch Blast will already have 2 Shots per cast, and you can grab the Potent Robes around this time meaning your CHA is added to shots before Agnozing Blast at your next level. By 8 you take Actor or 2 CHA boosting your Blasts and Persuasions. 9 and Onward you are able to go Rogue and eventually get another bonus Action which is honestly better for Dashing, Jumping and the primary is for Punching. You also get a little Sneak Attack damage, should be wielding dual daggers for Rhapsody and Cold Snap. 12 you can Dual Wield, Alert, or whatever you think you or the team lacks. Actions get you 3 Force Damage ranged attacks, Bonus Acts are for Punching twice with Ki points. You can opt for Sneak Attacks when you don't want to blow Ki. You have Warlock slots and Ki refresh on short rest, so blow these every fight.

Currently doing a duo tactician run with Astarion and I. We're both Gloomstalker/Assassins. I'm a Duergar. (Free invisibility is crack) I have these gloves on, just in case we get surrounded. Helps to have a little free AoE. This duo is nutty when you exploit surprise. We end up taking out a few baddies or a tough one before the fight actually starts. No wonder people keep recommending this build. First time playing it. After 1400+ hours. lol
@@azraelselvmord3650 Duergar is crazy. Had fun with it as my MC Spore Druid on Fun Guy streams. Surprise Initiator is addictive yes! I hope you are using minor illusion to round up those suckers before you two whomp on em with the acid!
@gar-sen It amazes me how Gloomstalker doesn't get one. How can I apply that to my build. Which multiclass or feat do I need just for Minor illusion? It's low key my most used spell.
Why does your Caustic Band item have a Purple Background (normally reserved for Epic Status items)? My Caustic Band just looks like a normal ring. I sometimes wish it had a different colour just so I could find it quicker in the pile.
