I first learned about FIAR from you a few years ago. Was always intrigued by it, but just didn't make it happen. We are so excited to use FIAR in our homeschool this year. I'm creating it for my K and 1st grader, but my big kiddos (4th and 6th) may join in too! Starting my prep for it, just was notified that Night of the Moonjellies is available for me to pick up at the library (I was a little nervous it wouldn't be available in time to start next week). Thank you for sharing this video and giveaway with us. Praying we have wonderful memories to look back on, even though I didn't do it with my older kids early on.
Thank you for offering this giveaway! I have been going back and forth on the Five In a Row website for about 6 months now. It looks lovely! I went ahead and ordered volume 1 and I’m looking forward to it arriving. :)
You make using FIAR look so fun and engaging. I really appreciate your curriculum planing videos. I would love the mini units! Seems like a great place to start enjoying this curriculum with multiple age kids.
This curriculum is such a classic! I hear about from all of the veteran homeschooling moms! I have a lot of the book titles but I'm lacking in the teachers' manuals. ❤ Definitely entering the giveaway!
This is one of those that I’ve been really wanting to try but I’ve felt a little intimidated by the planning of it. Thanks for sharing. I didn’t know about the mini units. Maybe we will try a few of those as a trial before jumping all in.
I have heard amazing things about FIAR. I think it would be a perfect, gentle introduction for my grandson who wants to do school with his aunt and uncle.
I have used Five in a Row previously and would love to use it again, but I really can't figure out how to fit that in while also doing school with my big kids. I'm really wondering how you managed to schedule this when I see everything else you are doing also.
I remember those books used for FIAR; we loved them. I miss those days. Maybe great grandkids someday...... I kept all of my books. My grandson still wants to make the Cranberry Bread in the back of the book every year (HE JUST TURNED 25). I would love to check out the new manuals. Does FIAR still have their chat board and the card making exchange? We still hang those FIAR ornaments.
Ok, so i see a lot of mama's doing the little lap books for FIAR. Do you do those, too? I'd that something that the manual suggests?? I have just purchased an older edition (spiral bound) and was just wondering if I missed something? Thanks! Love these videos!
Can you help me understand with your planning pages what that looks like schedule wise how much do you do per day? Or how do you select that? Monday geography Tues language arts? Or every subject per day?
Every time you do a FIAR video it makes me want to pull out my books and somehow incorporate it into our homeschool. I can never seem to execute it well though! It never feels rich enough, and I'm trying to squeeze it in to our day, in addition to all our regular subjects. What FIAR books would you recommend for a 4th grade girl?
Can you please share how you do five in a row and still manage to fit in other core curriculums. I have a second grader and can’t seem to figure out how to manage my time to do both. We are currently doing all about reading but love the idea of these.
can you explain what the unit study is ? Do you pick those topics and turn it into a curriculum ? I need help finding readers and literature books also. Any recommendations for a third grader ?
I didnt know they had mini units. thank you for walking us thru this.
I love Five in a Row and I only discovered it because of you.
FIAR is our absolute FAVORITE! The memories we have tied to FIAR are priceless! ❤ I seriously cannot imagine homeschooling without it!
Watching this video got me all excited to plan our own five in a row year! Thanks Abby!!!
I always love your FIAR videos. We love the Before program, and can't wait to get into the Volumes!
We bought a mini unit to do for the first time this year. Thanks for this!
So fun!
Thank you for sharing. X
Thanks for the walk through! I have considered fiar many times but have never been able to wrap my head around until now.
Thank you for the walking us through your process.
Great video! First year using FIAR and so excited to get started with my kiddos 😊
I’ve been on the fence about trying FIAR for the past year. I just might have to go for it!
You may have said and I missed it - but how long does 10 books take to work through? Is it one book per week? Thank you!
Ooh do you have a flip through of the seasonal nature study one?
I love love FIAR..even taught it at our co op this year ❤
We are going to be using some Before and More before this year with my 3 and 6 year old and I'm so excited to try it with them!

We literally have an orchard here called Apple Annie’s, I will be thinking of you this fall when apple picking happens 😊
Those pictures at the beginning 🥺 your babies were so little!
Thank you for sharing!!
Thanks for sharing the video. I have tried the free samples but haven't committed to the whole program.....yet 🙃
This is my first year using five in a row, which has been so wonderful!
I have been wanting to add this curriculum to our homeschool.
We never got to try this with my kids. I think I still have one that I could use this for though. :)
I'm starting BFIAR next week with my youngest. I did it a few years ago with some of my older kids.
We been wanting to use us FIAR. I think you convinced me

Is there a link in the hook for the printables, I don’t want to scan all the worksheets if I don’t need to so my daughter can work on the pages.

We love FIAR and it has been our core curriculum from the beginning.
I do struggle with the hands on activities and need to focus on that more.
Can you please share how you do five in a row and still manage to fit in other core curriculums. I have a second grader and can’t seem to figure out how to manage my time to do both. We are currently doing all about reading but love the idea of these.
It’s so cool that they now have Nature too.
I love five in a row
Hello so do you print out your planning pages also?
can you explain what the unit study is ? Do you pick those topics and turn it into a curriculum ? I need help finding readers and literature books also. Any recommendations for a third grader ?
Up to what grade can you do this ?
Would really like to make this apart of homeschool!
Do you print because you use the book for multiple kids, or is printing required?
No, you can write in the planning pages within the book, but I prefer not to!
This makes me miss the younger years of homeschooling.
Do you use this as all those subjects? Ie just add in math and phonics?
Also I can't get the giveaway links to open properly. 😢
@@NoeysearlesI can't get the giveaway links to open properly either.
