I’ve been crying over my Toshiba VCR/DVD combo for months after I got it out of storage to transfer some old family VHS tapes. My machine was having the same problem, and a brief search showed possible dusty machine. I cleaned the head and blew out the dust bunnies, but the machine still shut off. I found your video today and took apart the “light tube” to further dust out the infrared light. I literally cried with relief when the tape played for the first minute. Thank you so much for the fix! 🎉

@@michaelturner4457 you'rw not missing anything. Back in the 80s when the big neon signs still around it was pretty cool to take a drive through at night. Today it's just big video screens. I don't gamble it was just going to be a stop over on way to grand canyon.
@@TD75 resort fees, yup heard about that. Room 100, resort fee 500.
This past summer when i was on a little vacation by myself (wife couldn't take time off work) one place I went to check into had a resort fee. I asked what that was for. Clerk said jt was for pool and hot tub. I said I'm not using either. Then he said it for the use of kitchen in room and free continental breakfast. I said I'm not using kitchen now eating anything on the continental breakfast. Just going to sleep and be on the road at the crack of dawn so either remove the fees or I'll just sleep in my car in the parking lot for free.

I honestly don't understand why anyone would send something like this internationally when working ones are essentially worthless on ebay. I could fix this myself, but I'd certainly not put the value of shipping into it in parts.
I wonder the same for everything that walks in the door.
Maestro
Mine does that exact same thing.
