Thank you Bro for putting the Foundation & creation of HIP HOP in its proper context and origin. This channel should have well over one hundred thousand subscribers “FACTS”
Rock from late '60s and '70s is good party music.. and if you want breaks, a good bit features amazing drums, great grooves, and isn't limited to just funk-rock. Loving the details about music selection and styles. Keep making videos.👏🙏
The first dude on here. I talked to him every time I see him at the subway station in Jamaica Queens. And he's always playing some old school music and selling little trinklets. Haven't seen him in a long time Hope he's okay. My introduction to hip Hop was in queensbridge around 1975 maybe 76. And I remember it starting with brake beats and sometime after that the fact-back band came out and then the Sugar Hill gang. But I was still young not running the streets. Maybe I was 10 years old when the sugarhill gang came out maybe 11, I've been here a long time.
@Hrvoje Grahovac Foundational Black American's. The only heavily melinated people in America who aren't immigrants. The people who built 🇺🇲 from swamps and forests.
Before Mr magic was playing hip hop on the radio you used to have to fine-tune the dial and maybe you'll hear some hip hop some break beats some old school park jams from this guy called DJ Pepsi I wonder whatever happened to him. But Mr magic gave hip hop a home on the radio and everything else came after him. And he should always be mentioned when we talk about hip hop music. Even if he didn't set it off he was the most instrumental person in hip hop because his radio show help term hip hop into what it is today for the mainstream audience
You can even go further than that and say the noi started hip hop. The first black spades leader parents was apart of the nation of Islam. spades couldn't drink or smoke.
ooh wee oohwee.. you said "YOU CAN EVEN GO FURTHER THAN THAT AND SAY THE NOI STARTED HIP HOP".....no sir ..the Nation of Islam was not a youth culture expressing themselves thru the elements of hiphop!! hiphop started from our youth!! thru the elements we now call hiphop!!
just because the nation had an influence on the spades... that does not mean the Nation of Islam started hiphop... was the Nation of Islam TEENAGERS on the streets of The Bronx with graffiti?? was the Nation of Islam's TEENAGERS in The Bronx throwing park jams...etc No they wasn't
The ogs even said it themselves.the first leader parents were involved in the noi. That's why it was against the rules to drink and smoke. It started out as a group of kids protecting their people from racist whites.

Led Zeppelin just did an interview stating that they were inspired by FBA'S artists. Then the Grand FUNK Railroad has FUNK in their name.
Black people invented "Rock" music
@HipHopHistorian Exactly 💯 👏🏾. These TETHERS are very aware of that. That's why the Hip-hop parties had more than FBA music argument is silly.

@@TheCulture..Starts1971 I disagree. The nation had influence on the first leader and even bambatta.
