This was really fun to watch, I loved every second of it. I really hope we get horror icons as dragons to come back I think it’s a fun series that needs more attention, and here is my idea for that….. Spencis Charnas Origin After studying the Honey-Hook Wyvern, I end up seeing a couple of knights from the Las Angels Guard working on a quest about the death of a women who has connections to a specific person they were looking for which has a connection to these dragons I was studying. So I was lead to this carnival of carnage we’ll call it which had some of the dragons I talked about already like the Fanged Jester, the Scorched Nightmare, The October Slow Stalker, and the 4 other dragons that I mentioned already. It made me remember the times I went to the kingdom where Willis Afterian used his so called dragons as attractions which is now a different kingdom entirely at this point and the kingdom has been destroyed by the time I’m telling you about him. But I also saw and interview the owner of this place and his name was Spencis Charnas. He was wearing a suit that resembled half of a Scorched Nightmare and a Crystal Lake Camp Stalker with half of his face (well 25% of his face) covered with the fake skull of one of these dragons. But he also was holding a cane with a skull on top of the handle and wore (just for show) a bladed glove which represented the right hand of a scorched nightmare. He told me that he was really fascinated about these dragons sense he was little when he encountered the same exact October Slow Stalker that I studied that was caged here, which he said inspired someone to kill his sister, her friends, and even his parents which he ended up killing him in self defense but also he was a kid at the time and I don’t know if a kid could kill a full grown adult. Then he told me other things about him like he is the leader of a traveling folk story group that tells tales of these dragons. But when he said that I did see when studying the Crystal Lake Camp Stalker that there were these lines of their little tale in the area which said… "He Drowned in all our sins He drowned in our mistakes Fueled by the flood, we pay in blood The curse of Crystal Lake" And then I forgot about when I studied the Honey-Hook Wyvern I saw these lines which read…. "Left to die under the sun The hive never spared anyone How 'bout the hand for the honey bees Hooked on the creed of their colony" The most messed up part about the writing is that they were written in the blood of the dead bodies that were at the area where they were written. Also Spencis told me about this place’s history and the dragons that he really wants in here and he even gave me the privilege to study them after hours when the place closes since he knew I was the Overseer of this world and knew how much I liked studying mythical beast, he would even asked me to create more of these types of dragons if I wanted too. Then I asked him the big question that I think he knew I was gonna ask which was…. Why is the Las Angels Guard after you? He told me more about his past where he was connected with the case of the death of Elias Black who was the alchemist who would help Spencis with his nightmares while he was traveling with his group which he told me that the fanged jester that was caged here, which I remembered that I studied that exact same fanged jester tortured Elias and killed him and now he is connected to the death of the women that I heard about which turned out is his Fiancé and the Las Angels leader Captain Harris isn’t stopping until he is behind bars. But Spencis told me that he knows who really killed her and he won’t stop until the real killer pays for what he has done. But then I shook his hand and then left after talking to him and he even asked me if I was coming to opening night of the carnival and I told him yes and he told me these four words that I won’t forget "Sometimes…. Dead is Better." Which ended up gave me a shiver that went down my spine for some reason. Then the big night came and Spencis Sang one of his songs with his group which was the Anthem to this place. Then Spencis say these three words that would end up sticking with me every time I go to this place no matter if this place is opened or not which were… Welcome to Horrorwood!!! For context, the character Spencis Charnas is based off of Ice Nine Kills Frontman Spencer Charnas who has made horror movie themed metal albums and I turned him into a ringmaster and owner of a freak show like carnival were these dragons are now going to be residing. The Honey-Hooked Wyvern is based off of Candyman and the Crystal Lake Camp Stalker is based off of Jason Voorhees. But overall what do you think? Also can we get an episode like taking anime characters and putting them in the world of Persona (specifically the 5th one) or just a straight up Persona episode? Also for the video game characters as fantasy armors episode your doing on Monday please use Dante from Devil May Cry, I think that would work so well with his Devil trigger form
I never played Cuphead myself but I can't deny that it hasn't had an impact. Also I'm going to bring up my usual request to make a companion series to your Phobias as Demons series that turns Phobias into Guardian Angels. I am convinced that this has some real potential. In fact since everyone has a phobia so maby we can get other viewers to draw their own fears as Guardian Angels.
I’d love to see you do another round of this. My suggestions for other Cuphead bosses would be the Phantom Express, The Root Pack, Cagney Carnation, or some DLC bosses.
I knew it would be folklore beasts! I loved the Monster Hunters Monsters as Folklore Beasts, so this should be fun! I’m excited for more videos involving this interesting character! Maybe for part two, you could use Cagney Carnation since it could be really cool and creepy! This is one of the best I’ve ever seen. Definitely looking forward to part 2. Maybe, Goopy, Glumstone, Grim, and either Esther or Dr. Kahl. It would be oddly funny and awesome to see Esther as a Were-Cow.

Hi PopCross Studios! Your adaption of Cuphead Bosses as freaky folklore creatures was AMAZING!!! I certainly didn’t expect Baroness Von Bon Bon to be used, but her monster version featuring liquorice tentacles and an unnerving open-mawed cake/dress mouth with candy corn teeth blew me away! I also love that you fleshed out Cala Maria’s gorgon influences from the game to make her into a sea gorgon; scaly texturing on the face and upper body, stony underbelly, octopus/snake hair, and snake-like mermaid tail. Not to mention the lovely colour scheme of aqua green, lavender, olive green, deep purple, bluish grey and pops of yellow. PLEASE do more Cuphead content, and please continue this Folklore creatures series. Both have lots of interesting story potential.
Amazing job on this video, Christian. As a person that doesn't know a lot about the game Cuphead, I actually found this video to be very entertaining and interesting. Your folklore designs of the boss characters from Cuphead where really cool looking and the poses that you placed them in were really nice looking. As for the lore, I enjoyed the fact that the narrator was from your previous Monster Hunter video. It also had some great information on each character from The Cuphead game. Cool video! Some video suggestions/requests. 1. Pop culture stuff as bio-mech hosts. (Something for Kayla and Charlie to narrate) 2. Real life heroes like Firefighters and cops as legendary warriors. And 3. Instead of flat out ending the backcells prison series, you could write a mass breakout with future episodes featuring hunting and capturing the inmates.
Those are some cool ideas! Got a plan for how to finish The Kid's escape story without ending BackCells 😁 I dig the breakout idea and will consider it for after his main arc!
Ooh, very nice! Delightfully fiendish redesigns of these characters. It'd be interesting to see similar love given to some of the DLC bosses as well, if this gets a Part 2, but Cuphead's repertoire of bosses lends itself nicely to these kinds of designs.
I personally, if you do a video like this again, would love to see you do an interpretation of Hilda Berg, perhaps her deal being to transform her into a technomancy based creation to roam the skies
I would love to see a part 2 with some of the earlier bosses in the game, such as the Flower, Hilda or the Veggies. Maybe we could even get one about Cuphead himself, having him as someone who tried to fight against the Devil only to end up cursed as a Cup like monster, forced to do his bidding for the rest of time.
This was incredible. I'm a huge fan of folklore creatures since its a topic that always gives me a lot of inspiration and their sories surrounding them are just very fascinating, and since I'm not too familiar with Cuphead since I've only heard of it it passing. So seeing you draw some Cuphead bosses as if they were folklore creatures is incredible. I especially loved Baroness Von Bon Bon’s and Cala Maria's designs the most. The Devil's gives off that mysterious feel of coming face to face with an unknown being that while he looks frightening and intimidating that offers deals that sound too good to be true...plus I love how he looks like a charcoal black version of what a typical depiction of the devil would look like with its goat like horns, Baroness Von Bon Bon’s gives off that of an unexpected being that while sometimes may look unassuming and sweet it can also be very dangerous if not taken seriously and gives another definition to the terms "don't take candy from strangers"...plus I love how this design looks like a cool and frightening take on the candy witch from Hansel and Gretel, Djimmi The Great's design gives off that feel of a being of infinite cosmic powers that always yearns for freedom and will utilize what ever means necessary to obtain said freedom...plus this design really reminds me of those warrior like Djinn from certain games and shows that demonstrates that there not just some simple wish granters, Cala Maria's design gives off that cool ancient and ethereal warrior look to it that also feel like it accurately shows how it can be a potentially dangerous being while at the same time be a top predator...plus I love how her design reminds me of a mix between a gorgon and mermaid which adds to its cool factor as well as being a formidable creature of the deep. This was an amazing video and its one of the best videos with a new theme/topic that I haven't seen before...and I like it. I'd love to see you try to turn some more Cuphead bosses into folklore creatures since I think that would be a great opportunity to explore other kinds of these mysterious entities. I'd also be ok with seeing you do a video on drawing some folklore creatures as either kaijus, SCPs, more Superheroes or as more mech/fantasy armours, since I think that would be pretty interesting...plus if its the case for armours, I think Benny and Vasilia would have a blast, and it would be fun to see Benny and Vasilia come up with armour ideas based on some of these unique entities. I also can’t wait to see how Mara’s story continues in the multiverse tales episodes. Plus, I'm really looking forward to monday's episode where you turn famous video game characters as fantasy armours since i know Vasilia will probably have some great stories to share...and who knows, maybe Benny will make an appearance. Great job as always Christian and I can’t wait to see what you draw on Friday’s video. P.s. do you think you could do a video of turning dinosaurs into mech armours? I absolutely love this series! The narrator is really funny. And the art is really good. I think it would be cool to see more topics turned into folklore creatures, but I wouldn’t mind seeing some more cuphead. I’d love to see a crossover between all of the horror narrators because I always feel bad for how much their lives suck and I think they deserve friends. (I also think it’d be funny for the SCP superhero lady to have to put up with Benny. On the topic of Benny, did he invite Dr Champagne on a date in the FNAF mech episode? If so I’d love to hear about what stories they have to tell each other (although if he didn’t I’d still like to hear some more panini trio banter. Actually if he did I’d still love to hear some more panini trio banter ahahah) I’ve been binge watching the dragon videos and i think another episode of anime heroes as dragons would be awesome. Some suggestions are shinji in unit 01, tanjiro, meliodas, and jotaro. Id really love to see an episode of Pixar characters on tbe suicide squad. I know you’ve done buzz, but I think woody as a super hero/villain would be pretty funny. Id also love to see Mei from turning red, Luca from Luca and Miguel from Coco. Thank you so much for all of the content, the story of multiverse tales is told in a really unconventional way but it’s very unique and I’ve grown really attached to all of the characters. Folktale creatures really does work as a topic, I think we could(and should) see more of this style of redesign. On the Hellsing, I can only say one thing. You got the skill to hunt them, but you know nothing on how to beat them. Best keep your advisor safe, otherwise you'll lose when the deal is done. (P.s. I expect the demon had deals to collect the souls of these people when they die, and that he contracted Hellsing as he realized they weren't going to die otherwise. So he's using Hellsing to consolidate power to actually fight Hellsing.) Day 59 of requesting a werewolf/werebeast episode involving Animated movie characters and the partner animals. Like say Hiccup and Toothless, or Jasmine and Rajah. Or maybe even a less used character, like Penny and Bolt from Bolt.

I know nothing about cuphead, but this was a good episode. I like how you use the one character I like, cala Maria, and I also appreciate the fact that the main narrator constantly sounds like he wants to die. After studying the Honey-Hook Wyvern, I end up seeing a couple of knights from the Las Angels Guard working on a quest about the death of a women who has connections to a specific person they were looking for which has a connection to these dragons I was studying. So I was lead to this carnival of carnage we’ll call it which had some of the dragons I talked about already like the Fanged Jester, the Scorched Nightmare, The October Slow Stalker, and the 4 other dragons that I mentioned already. It made me remember the times I went to the kingdom where Willis Afterian used his so called dragons as attractions which is now a different kingdom entirely at this point and the kingdom has been destroyed by the time I’m telling you about him.
But I also saw and interview the owner of this place and his name was Spencis Charnas. He was wearing a suit that resembled half of a Scorched Nightmare and a Crystal Lake Camp Stalker with half of his face (well 25% of his face) covered with the fake skull of one of these dragons. But he also was holding a cane with a skull on top of the handle and wore (just for show) a bladed glove which represented the right hand of a scorched nightmare. He told me that he was really fascinated about these dragons sense he was little when he encountered the same exact October Slow Stalker that I studied that was caged here, which he said inspired someone to kill his sister, her friends, and even his parents which he ended up killing him in self defense but also he was a kid at the time and I don’t know if a kid could kill a full grown adult. Then he told me other things about him like he is the leader of a traveling folk story group that tells tales of these dragons.
But when he said that I did see when studying the Crystal Lake Camp Stalker that there were these lines of their little tale in the area which said…
"He Drowned in all our sins
He drowned in our mistakes
Fueled by the flood, we pay in blood
The curse of Crystal Lake"
And then I forgot about when I studied the Honey-Hook Wyvern I saw these lines which read….
"Left to die under the sun
The hive never spared anyone
How 'bout the hand for the honey bees
Hooked on the creed of their colony"
The most messed up part about the writing is that they were written in the blood of the dead bodies that were at the area where they were written.
Also Spencis told me about this place’s history and the dragons that he really wants in here and he even gave me the privilege to study them after hours when the place closes since he knew I was the Overseer of this world and knew how much I liked studying mythical beast, he would even asked me to create more of these types of dragons if I wanted too.
Then I asked him the big question that I think he knew I was gonna ask which was….
Why is the Las Angels Guard after you?
He told me more about his past where he was connected with the case of the death of Elias Black who was the alchemist who would help Spencis with his nightmares while he was traveling with his group which he told me that the fanged jester that was caged here, which I remembered that I studied that exact same fanged jester tortured Elias and killed him and now he is connected to the death of the women that I heard about which turned out is his Fiancé and the Las Angels leader Captain Harris isn’t stopping until he is behind bars. But Spencis told me that he knows who really killed her and he won’t stop until the real killer pays for what he has done.
But then I shook his hand and then left after talking to him and he even asked me if I was coming to opening night of the carnival and I told him yes and he told me these four words that I won’t forget "Sometimes…. Dead is Better." Which ended up gave me a shiver that went down my spine for some reason.
Then the big night came and Spencis Sang one of his songs with his group which was the Anthem to this place.
Then Spencis say these three words that would end up sticking with me every time I go to this place no matter if this place is opened or not which were…

For context, the character Spencis Charnas is based off of Ice Nine Kills Frontman Spencer Charnas who has made horror movie themed metal albums and I turned him into a ringmaster and owner of a freak show like carnival were these dragons are now going to be residing.
The Honey-Hooked Wyvern is based off of Candyman and the Crystal Lake Camp Stalker is based off of Jason Voorhees.

I never played Cuphead myself but I can't deny that it hasn't had an impact. Also I'm going to bring up my usual request to make a companion series to your Phobias as Demons series that turns Phobias into Guardian Angels. I am convinced that this has some real potential. In fact since everyone has a phobia so maby we can get other viewers to draw their own fears as Guardian Angels.

Your adaption of Cuphead Bosses as freaky folklore creatures was AMAZING!!!
I certainly didn’t expect Baroness Von Bon Bon to be used, but her monster version featuring liquorice tentacles and an unnerving open-mawed cake/dress mouth with candy corn teeth blew me away!
I also love that you fleshed out Cala Maria’s gorgon influences from the game to make her into a sea gorgon; scaly texturing on the face and upper body, stony underbelly, octopus/snake hair, and snake-like mermaid tail. Not to mention the lovely colour scheme of aqua green, lavender, olive green, deep purple, bluish grey and pops of yellow. PLEASE do more Cuphead content, and please continue this Folklore creatures series. Both have lots of interesting story potential.
Amazing job on this video, Christian. As a person that doesn't know a lot about the game Cuphead, I actually found this video to be very entertaining and interesting. Your folklore designs of the boss characters from Cuphead where really cool looking and the poses that you placed them in were really nice looking.
As for the lore, I enjoyed the fact that the narrator was from your previous Monster Hunter video. It also had some great information on each character from The Cuphead game.

Some video suggestions/requests.
1. Pop culture stuff as bio-mech hosts. (Something for Kayla and Charlie to narrate)
2. Real life heroes like Firefighters and cops as legendary warriors.
And 3. Instead of flat out ending the backcells prison series, you could write a mass breakout with future episodes featuring hunting and capturing the inmates.
Those are some cool ideas! Got a plan for how to finish The Kid's escape story without ending BackCells 😁 I dig the breakout idea and will consider it for after his main arc!

I would love to see a part 2 with some of the earlier bosses in the game, such as the Flower, Hilda or the Veggies. Maybe we could even get one about Cuphead himself, having him as someone who tried to fight against the Devil only to end up cursed as a Cup like monster, forced to do his bidding for the rest of time.
This was incredible. I'm a huge fan of folklore creatures since its a topic that always gives me a lot of inspiration and their sories surrounding them are just very fascinating, and since I'm not too familiar with Cuphead since I've only heard of it it passing. So seeing you draw some Cuphead bosses as if they were folklore creatures is incredible. I especially loved Baroness Von Bon Bon’s and Cala Maria's designs the most. The Devil's gives off that mysterious feel of coming face to face with an unknown being that while he looks frightening and intimidating that offers deals that sound too good to be true...plus I love how he looks like a charcoal black version of what a typical depiction of the devil would look like with its goat like horns, Baroness Von Bon Bon’s gives off that of an unexpected being that while sometimes may look unassuming and sweet it can also be very dangerous if not taken seriously and gives another definition to the terms "don't take candy from strangers"...plus I love how this design looks like a cool and frightening take on the candy witch from Hansel and Gretel, Djimmi The Great's design gives off that feel of a being of infinite cosmic powers that always yearns for freedom and will utilize what ever means necessary to obtain said freedom...plus this design really reminds me of those warrior like Djinn from certain games and shows that demonstrates that there not just some simple wish granters, Cala Maria's design gives off that cool ancient and ethereal warrior look to it that also feel like it accurately shows how it can be a potentially dangerous being while at the same time be a top predator...plus I love how her design reminds me of a mix between a gorgon and mermaid which adds to its cool factor as well as being a formidable creature of the deep. This was an amazing video and its one of the best videos with a new theme/topic that I haven't seen before...and I like it. I'd love to see you try to turn some more Cuphead bosses into folklore creatures since I think that would be a great opportunity to explore other kinds of these mysterious entities. I'd also be ok with seeing you do a video on drawing some folklore creatures as either kaijus, SCPs, more Superheroes or as more mech/fantasy armours, since I think that would be pretty interesting...plus if its the case for armours, I think Benny and Vasilia would have a blast, and it would be fun to see Benny and Vasilia come up with armour ideas based on some of these unique entities. I also can’t wait to see how Mara’s story continues in the multiverse tales episodes. Plus, I'm really looking forward to monday's episode where you turn famous video game characters as fantasy armours since i know Vasilia will probably have some great stories to share...and who knows, maybe Benny will make an appearance. Great job as always Christian and I can’t wait to see what you draw on Friday’s video.

I absolutely love this series! The narrator is really funny. And the art is really good. I think it would be cool to see more topics turned into folklore creatures, but I wouldn’t mind seeing some more cuphead.
I’d love to see a crossover between all of the horror narrators because I always feel bad for how much their lives suck and I think they deserve friends. (I also think it’d be funny for the SCP superhero lady to have to put up with Benny.

Implying that the squid guy was an overseer at one point and starting to build the kid a team of his own like the sharpe gang. Obviously we need a sequel to see what the devil's catch was. DLC bosses are as good a theme as any.
Folktale creatures really does work as a topic, I think we could(and should) see more of this style of redesign. On the Hellsing, I can only say one thing. You got the skill to hunt them, but you know nothing on how to beat them. Best keep your advisor safe, otherwise you'll lose when the deal is done.
(P.s. I expect the demon had deals to collect the souls of these people when they die, and that he contracted Hellsing as he realized they weren't going to die otherwise. So he's using Hellsing to consolidate power to actually fight Hellsing.)

YAAAY got more something into folklore creatures I absolutely loved the monster hunter one and this one was just as good and I really hope you have more of these folklore creatures/beasts and would be interesting to see maybe tayrun or cosmara visiting this world would be interesting and here’s hoping for more of these folklore episodes and if you just so happen to do another cuphead one of these would be great to see the phantom express or goopy Le grande or grim matchstick (a dragon lol) or beppi the clown or some of the new dlc bosses like glumstone the giant or Mortimer freeze

I know nothing about cuphead, but this was a good episode. I like how you use the one character I like, cala Maria, and I also appreciate the fact that the main narrator constantly sounds like he wants to die. Maybe he's an alternate version of champagne McGregor. Good stuff bro, good stuff.
