I live just down the road from this place, it was a biker who lived on his own, died one day and the land got passed on to an old guy down the road from this place and he hasn't touched it since. A few things you missed in the video on the back side of the property just by the road there are a few old sheds full of old rusty bike parts exhausts wheels etc, the guy was a serious classic bike collector. There was a lot more stuff in there a few months ago it looks like someone has taken a lot and by the way the bedroom light still works after all this time 😂

It looks like the house has been damaged by a storm, if it's that near the sea and being made of wood, it might not have survived a storm. Also by the age of the house, it looks builder made, no architecture. So I think the land was brought, and then the house built to the owners style. Well that what I think. Great explore, thank you.😁❤️

Hi Mark, when I saw you were on your own I was concerned, what if you fell, had an accident, unconscious. so far from help….but hopefully Lisa and Dale would know your whereabouts. I would suggest when exploring a place with so much mold that you have gloves handy (as you said yourself), but also a mask to protect your lungs as well. Feeling sad when I see personal items, all those photos in a drawer, and throughout, photos taken in happier times, a life and lives that have lived within those walls… nature now reclaiming it all… sickened when I see the trashing. You are always so respectful, you explore with such care. Always look forward to your ventures/ adventures, you are my favourite Explorer. Warm greetings from Canada for you, Lisa and Dale….hugs guys🤗🤗🤗 (I’m a Mom of four sons, grown men now… so I come to you with my concerns for your safety naturally as a Mom❣️)

@@karenmcdonald7801 Certain molds, especially black mold, can be inhaled and cause serious damage to the lungs and even death. My friend had a cousin whose husband died as a result of black mold from working in the basement of their home renovating it. Taking certain, reasonable, precautions is just a smart move. Life is uncertain enough as it is, why take chances.

Sad to think all someones possessions being taken back by nature, but It's not the first time and certainly won't be the last. Great little place. I've seen this place done before but nowhere near as good as yours Adam. It was trashed back then approximately 2 years ago and but the kitchen roof was not like that. From the previous search that was done it was a father and son who lived there and it looks like they both had their own sitting room and own bedroom just shared the kitchen and bathroom. But the pair of them would sit together quite often to watch movies etc. The son was a motorbike mechanic.

I absolutely loved this explore!!! I think that you are absolutely correct!!! 2 guys lived there, 1 or both were bike enthusiasts! Sad that the antique, wooden furniture isn’t salvageable 😔 Sad that the family pictures weren’t kept by the family 😞 They were older, having magazines from the 1950s! It makes me want to cry to see that vandals have destroyed sooo much of the belongings 😰 I’m sure that it would make them sooo very sad to see everything disheveled! If he had a gun, for shooting varmets or predators, I’m sure that vandals have stolen it, along with other possessions 😢 I sooo wish that people were more respectful of other people’s property… this world would be a much better place 👍🙏❤️Thank you Adam for sharing this remarkable adventure in the south of England from 1, if not 2 USA transplants!!! I loved it 👍🙏❤️

What a strange little place, especially that kitchen! I think it was a man alone , heavily into classic British bikes, specifically Ariel ‘s he obviously liked traveling possibly to bike meetings, hence the Netherlands Ariel club badge. I think he got the American flag and Map as memorabilia, possibly being given the flag from an American fellow bike enthusiast .
As always thank you for another great explore and for you being a very respectful young man

Antique dishes going back to the 1940's and 1950's suggests to me an older guy, who inherited the property and the antiques lived here with his grown son. Old photos indicate a man and a woman once lived here. Woman probably died. Grown son probably spent a lot of time in L.A. in his youth in the 1970's and 1980's; may have gotten American citizenship. Then came back home to take care of his Dad. I think the old man was probably a repairman for motorcycles and maybe have been crewman for racing bikes, too. Very interesting.

Another awesome video thank you very much Adam here are my thoughts on it I think that maybe there was a guy that was in the service for a while in America ( that would explain the holster but no weapon) met a girl in California proposed and she said no so he packed himself up and came back to his grandparents place which is why there's some really nice beautiful old wood furniture in there and he just stayed there working on his next passion motorcycles I don't think there were two different guys living there he probably had that second room more for extra storage and fancier clothes that he would wear on rare occasions but I could be wrong.

My first visit here, and I'm so glad I found your channel - your narration and filming are brilliant!
I'm wondering if this cottage was inherited by a relative from the U.S. after the original owner passed away? It almost looks that way. Thank you for taking the time to go through each room, checking everything out, instead of brief overviews as are often done. The outdoor kitchen might have been a "summer kitchen" as sometimes found in some old farmhouses here in Ontario, except there is no permanent kitchen inside the cottage (?).

I beleive the maps are called 'Relief Maps'. I found them fascinating when I was a kid. My dad worked for the Bureau of Land Management (yes, the original BLM!). It is a USA Federal agency that oversee public lands and it uses, farming, ranching, camping, many, many uses. If the man was an American, he loved motorcycles then he may have rode alot of those canyon roads or trails. There are alot of of them in that area, accessible back in the day...before the 1980's especially. If he was from the UK, maybe he had American friends that he visited and rode the mountain roads & trails. They gifted him the map to remember the fun times they had. M/C people are family. I remember my dad had alot of those maps, lots of different terrain in California.

My take is a house where several generations have lived and loved. They added to the items scattered abut the house..dating from early 1900s. All were people who kept things that had memories and use…..been thru the wars…Person who lived there died there and either had no family or family did not want to go tnru all that stuff and dispose of it. Extra chair may have been for visitor..as well as another resident, only one room had tv and personal entertainment..other as maybe for guest and kept fairly neat. the items on dressers were female.

It’s so sad too see how things are still there. It’s like he didn’t exist, it’s sad to say that I feel this could happen to my mom as she has pushed everyone out of her life. She has 5 children but doesn’t speak to any of them because of how she has treated us. Not long ago she sent me a message in the morning, I had a bad night and was sleeping and didn’t get it till going on 10 pm. In the meantime she had sent me a second message saying my silence told her I didn’t want to talk to her and not call her anymore and blocked me on Facebook. I’m wondering if she’s getting dementia, my grandma had it.

Really enjoyed this video. Maybe the guy did the Route 66. Even though I make my cuppa with a teabag straight into the cup I would love to have that teapot with the foxgloves on it. Was funny when you mentioned the 'Krays' lol and the tinned fish. Keep up the good work Adam.🙂

I seriously love all your explores from across the big pond! The respect you show for the places you find, and your style of video are why I follow you. Thank you for being our curious eyes of the abandoned for us all 🤗 Hopefully soon you will put some masks in your bag, even a simple style would help with at least the big particles of ghost house dust lol and a pack of wipes for your hands afterwards. Much love, and respect from Kentucky! Be safe! 🙌

Lovely video as always Adam! You find so many gems hidden away. I wonder what happens to these places? Could someone come in and rehab the place and live there for the rest of their days? Or does the government or bank own it and just don’t care what happens to the property?
Anyway, thanks for sharing your explores with us and I can’t wait to see the next one!🙏🏼😊

Great explore Adam, well done. I would have said Father and Son lived there. The 3D map is used to show mountain ranges, so a special place for their memories. Sad all that history rotting away, those magazines and books are worth a fortune to a collector. Hi to Lisa and Dale, stay safe and thank you 💕🇦🇺

Be careful 🙏 mold is no joke and watchin you touch stuff with no gloves or mask gives me anxiety ! Ive worked in alot of greenhouses and grow rooms and when mold is present and your exposed often enough it can have some serious adverse health effects 😥

Maybe American brothers that wanted to see England by bike? It must've been getting rough towards the end with tarping the kitchen rather than replacing the roof. Makes me kinda sad. But at the same time I love just getting by, like being in a tent during a thunderstorm, you feel very grateful. Is there a road right past the house? If not can you explain what we're seeing at 1:17? I've watched it 10x and I can't work it out
