In Romania we do the same swirl cake but instead of poppyseeds we use ground walnuts. It tastes great!
Walnuts are in that poppy seed mass too. And raisins. Although poppy seeds predominate.

In Romania the salad is called salad de beuf from the same salad that originated in France. But we usually do it with chicken.
The salad with the chicken in Poland is called Gyros. I never eat it but the rest of the family love it.
