  • Women discuss the challenges and rewards of working in a nontraditional employment field.
I made this video to inform the world that women are present in various levels of construction from trades person to executives. There is a place for young women or women considering career changes in this field. The field provide high wages and a variety of opportunities to grow including business ownership. Women come with great skillsets and perspective that are valuable and can transform this industry. There are challenges as well and the industry needs to know they exist and actively work to address them while encourage and supporting greater participation.
You can be a carpenter, electrician, laborer, architect, engineer, superintendent, project manager, a project executive or even a safety manager. There are varying levels of physicality required, as well as education and experience. Look into pre-apprenticeship programs such as Non-Traditional Employment for Women, apply when union apprenticeship applications come out and explore the professional side during your college studies or internships. Join mentorship and networking organizations such as NAWIC. It is very reward career path and there is a need for greater participation of women.

But mens' job means patriarchal structure and women don't like anything related to patriarchy but how can you like it when it is a patriarchal sector? Oh..... now I can understand why you embrace this because it benefits you. That means the things which doesn't benefit women is patriarchy but when it benefits women then it is egalitarian sector. Wah....what a sarcastic
