- La Monnaie's Principal horn player has a thing for Benjamin Britten's ‘Serenade for tenor, horn and strings’. The music has fascinated him since childhood and even provided the soundtrack to the birth of his first son. During the concert ‘Enigma Variations’ (May 17), he will perform the work on stage at Bozar, partly on a natural horn. How this instrument differs from the ‘modern’ version and what is so exceptional about Britten's score Jean-Pierre explains to you himself in this video.
