Tibetan master Longchenpa’s famous work that systematically presents the path of yogic conduct according to the Dzogchen tradition.
Longchen Rabjam (1308-1363), is a great luminary of Tibetan Buddhism. He was highly skilled in all aspects of scholarship from an early age and excelled throughout his life in the practice and accomplishment of the Dharma. Regarded as a great Dzogchen master, Longchenpa had many pure visions where he was given direct instructions from Guru Padmasambhava and is recognised as an emanation of Vimalamitra. Longchenpa's prolific writings have made him one of Tibet's most renowned and precious teachers.

I tend to listen to things like this with focused reverence and I do feel I get the essence of what is being taught. Yet I notice many times in the 3rd or 4th listening, it suddenly hits me in a much deeper way. This is is one of those times.

@@jamesstevenson7725 modern vedanta is a dead lineage as are zen and theravada. only nalanda buddhism / tibetan buddhism still has authentic samadhi practitioners. and yes mahayana emptiness far surpasses vedanta theory, but ancient vedanta meditators used to be awesome and close cousins.
Words cannot describe the beauty and simplicity of Longchempa`s teachings on the true and inseparable nature of mind and phenomenon a very moving meditation.

I can see what is meant by this teaching about the dreamlike nature of things. . .Example: I went to work some time back like I usually do and I was in the breakroom kinda leaning onto and putting my weight onto this old kind of makeshift counter where there were two microwave ovens. Well, the whole thing just started leaning and fell over with a loud crash. I couldn't catch it all in time. I usually don't do things like that! And in the moments as it was falling over and right afterward, it seemed to have a real dreamlike quality to it all. I couldn't believe I had made that counter fall over!
I have also had other less dramatic moments as well where things seemed dreamlike and unreal for a moment or two. I'm sure others have had such moments too.

The definition I gave can be more relative & grow. Like a flower bush, first green buds appear, then a hint of color, then more color than green, then boom with perfume not smelled before, yet remembered or known. As flowers open ‘new’ depths come.
