    Really enjoyed your review. The USD Sway and PS Zoom suffer from a lot of forward flex. Lacing all the way up to the highest top eyelets and using a longer lace that you can wrap around the cuffs is the best way to combat this. Also using a thick (wide) velcro strap, like the FRX powerstraps, helps as well. It gives the cuff something to bump up against. Keep up the great work.

      Thanks for the advice man, I will definitely be giving longer laces a go firstly and maybe give some velcro straps a go 😌

    Thos bolts go missing unless you use thread locked liquid. All my skates needed that. If you don't pay attention these bolts just unscrew each time you move the straps.

    Hi, thank you very much for the very good review. It gave me a pretty good idea about the skate. One important thing for you: An aluminium frame should not make click sounds when you skate it. It is rather a sign that either one of the screws of your frame or an axle is a bit lose. So check that before a wheel or a hole frame comes of one day! In order to check the screws of your frames, you will need to take of the front and back wheels. Good luck and please continue your good work. I really like your channel!

    • @Itsjustbaloo
      @Itsjustbaloo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man, I am glad you enjoyed it. For the clicking, even after wrenching everything tight, I still get clicks and it's because the wheels move ever so slightly. It seems to be the frames, have been casted ever so slightly too wide.

    Great review and really nice editing! Once you get bored with 4x80, consider some more creative options like rockered 4x100 or 5x80 that I’ve reviewed. Those turn as easy as your 4x80 but are super stable, so you can hardly fall on them unless you’re doing tricks

      Unfortunately the zoom pro has the trinity set-up and for the time being there are no rockered 4x100 or 5x80 for trinity that I no off.

    @chilli-iceolive-abode2447 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Cheers for the in depth review. You should grab some sway souls while they're still around and then you could have the option to skate them aggressive.
    I've got two pairs of sways and I've got the trinity adapter so when I retire one pair from aggressive I can try them out with a big wheel trinity setup.
    In terms of support I notice a huge difference between my pro Sways with myfit crown liner and sways 4 with a basic USD liner. The myfit crown liner makes such a big difference that I run it in both boots. I found the basic USD liner felt really loose and sloppy for me.

      @@AlmostLakai94 haha that's alright. I like the look of those zooms, but I'm yet to try tri-skates, tbh a lot of them have short frames e.g. 243mm and that's not my thing.
      You should get some serious speed on those 🤟

      @@chilli-iceolive-abode2447 you should look into the endless frames whenever you retire them from being sways 🤔 the wheel base is a little longer on the big wheel setups if I remember correctly (if you're even interested in the 100+ lol) but yes I'm a little nervous though since I've never tried any wheels over 72mm 😅

    Just bought them and will receive them next week. I'm happy with what you say about them and hope I'll be able to learn how to slide and be confident on them. For now I just have some old hypno STS with removable frame (which I thought was a great idean at first) but can't skate more than 15 - 20 minutes with them without having my feet hurting.
    Do you recommend content about how to stop / slide so that I'll be more confident moving from an empty parking to the real streets of my city ?
    By the way, thanks for the video, it is amazing !

    • @Itsjustbaloo

      This is amazing! I think you will have a better experience than what you have described using your Hypno STS skates and sure you will start progressing quickly.
      As for recommendation's, I would go check out Ricardo Lino and Thirty and Rolling's channels as they both have great content on how to do things 🙂

    I got a pair of theese a few months ago, mainly bc you can make them into Sway agressive skates by adding some accesories. Now I do feel they are too soft and are limitating the tricks I can learn on them.
    Also, the buclke pierced a hole in the cuff and it won't stay fixed, so It feels now even less suportive. It´s made out of the same soft material. I honestly really like them but I think I could have invested a bit more money on a better pair :c

  • @flyytaniac381
    @flyytaniac381 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Really good review. I also have them and this resonated quite well with me. I guess you have more narrow feet though, because i defenitely get some pain around the ankles. Break-in wasnt so easy and they still Start hurting after a longer skate. Already got ankle footies.
    I first had the 3x100 and that felt too instable for me with the short wheelbase. So i changed stuff up a bit with a 4x80 frame, street unvader wheels, nee bearings and waxed laces.
    They are a lot better now but i guess i valuate Performance quite a bit so iam now tempted to also change the liner. Do you think this would make any significant change? Or rather get a new skate altogether? Im torn!
    Glad for Help, greetings from germany

    been thinking of getting them and your review was very helpful to me so thanks. I was wondering, do they come with a heel break? if not, can you get a heel break to attach to them?

    • @Itsjustbaloo
      @Itsjustbaloo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am glad it helped. These skates don't come with a heel brake but you can find after market brakes which can attach to many skates. If you are unsure, Loco skates sell a number of them and they are really helpful guys

    Hi Baloo. I'm looking to get back into it after decades and I'm looking for the right skates. I had been eyeing Zoom Pros and would have already bought some but they are out of stock even with PS. Have you tried the ONE Zoom skates? They are a bit cheaper but have a riveted frame and different liner.
    I'm also looking at the RB Cruisers. I need a hard boot, but want to spend under $200 total. Any advice? I have a regular to narrow foot. I'm looking more for trail skates, exercise, fun, and not aggressive or speed. I'd love to blade with my dog :-). I appreciate your thoughts.

      Thanks mate, really appreciate that!
      I haven't tried the Zoom One skates but my girlfriend has them and enjoys them. Another option would be the Powerslide Zoom Loco 80's. They are very similar to the Zoom 80 Pro's but again with riveted frames.
      I haven't tried the RB Cruisers either but RB are a good brand so I don't think you will have any problems with them.
      One more option is the Micro MT Plus skate. They come in at a good price and the people I know who skate them have nothing but good words to say about them.
      I hope that helps 🙏

    • @jeffreyjbyron
      @jeffreyjbyron 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Itsjustbaloo great reply! Those Loco 80s look really nice with the white. A bit too expensive for me since they have to ship overseas. They also don't have the 45 strap. Is that important at all? Never had them on my TRS in the 90s...

    • @Itsjustbaloo
      @Itsjustbaloo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fair enough. That's a shame as they are the nicest looking Zooms IMO. 45 degree straps help when you are getting up to bigger wheels, especially 90mm and above. With most of my skates I tend to take the 45 off and uses laces instead as I find I can fine tune the for more so I wouldn't worry too much about that as you can always get some hockey laces to deal with any foot slip

    • @jeffreyjbyron
      @jeffreyjbyron 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Itsjustbaloo well I ordered the One Zooms (in black), and first impression is that they are going to take a lot of breaking in. Made for a wide foot. Quite bulky boot compared to the RB Cruiser and Flying Eagles. There's something brutalist about the design I like, but you can tell they saves $$ as they are rough around the edges (literally). I'm disappointed that you can't customize these skates, though I don't know how much I'd be doing that anyway. Also, very little shock absorbing.
      But hard to compare at that price point! Time to go have fun with them!

    i just bought them like one week ago and i cannot be more unhappy with them
    i have been roller blading since i was 10 now im 36, i had lot of skates during my early years 6 pairs at least , because i use to do crazy staff , not anymore i just skate to have fun a and reduce my belly, the last skates was a bravoblade and last me 22 year finally the boot broke up so i had to buy a new one
    here is my review
    confortable = 1 very hard and inconfortable
    breathable = 2 almost does not have any hole for the heat of your feey goes out, at the end your socks are like a swimpool
    bearing: 2 they say abec 5 but does not feel more like abec 1
    wheel : 10 when you need to stop , they do the job inmeditly
    shockabsortion: 9 if you do half meter jump you kidney does not suffer
    how they look: 5 kind of ugly totally subjective
    tighting system : 6 kind of slow to put them on

      In my opinion this skates are reeealy good. Maybe they should incrase quality little bit. But.... You are right... Wheels are worth throwing right into the trash. They are perfect for braking without making any move. What's more, when you push your legs, you feel resistance. One hour skating, no braking much and you can see some deegre of damage. Just big LOL. In such class of equipment its unbelivable.
