Underrated footwork in the post for someone most would label as the stereotypical offensive rim-runner. Not saying its great but he is good at repositioning his body when he gets the ball in an awkward position
Anyone else love hearing Blaha on these highlights? We better enjoy him while we got him, because he's getting older. I'm 38 and he's been the voice of the Pistons my entire life. From the Bad Boys, to the Grant Hill teal era, to the Goin' to Work Ben Wallace teams, to the recent long stretch of mediocrity.
Damn right. So many iconic phrases that Blaha has coined - “long gun”, “he scoops and he scores”, “fires and fills it”, “hanging gun and he got it”. Blaha-isms in this vid had me hella nostalgic + searching old vids of the ‘04 pistons to listen to Blaha in his heyday
he's OK if your a casual fan but if you tune in a lot he is starting to miss a lot of the who/what/where and why of what's going on out there. I have respect for the man but I think it's time to pass the mic
@@osheathedj I haven't heard a ton of Blaha these past 7 or so years since I cut the cord and can only get out of market games now, which is the worst part about not having cable tbh. Well, he is getting up there and even legends have to retire eventually.
Detroit Basketball, y'all have yourselves a good one in Duren. One of the league's most promising cores with Duren, Cade, Ivey and Ausar- look forward to seeing them all grow and excel in the league
I think pistons messed up by signing Wiseman at the half way mark of the season. It took away playing time from Duren when hes obviously got the talent to be great. They gotta stop playing around and give Duren the minutes
@@nuahs2 I'm in agreement. Wiseman has certainly looked much better than he did with GSW but the biggest thing Monty Williams needs to figure out is who should get the bulk of the minutes at the 4-5 alongside Cade, Ivey and Ausar. The Pistons have a logjam of talent at those positions with the likes of Bagley, Bogdanovic, Duren, Stewart and Wiseman. I think the right move is Bogdanovic and Duren as Bogdanovic provides the veteran leadership for the young core and Duren's ceiling is one of the most overlooked in the league imo
If he can develop a bit of a jump shot to stretch the defense a bit, watch out. He has all the potential in the world to be a great help and weak side defender and put up huge block numbers.
@@Jon.A.Scholt 😂😂..I don't know if Drummond got too much to fast, lazy, or if it was mental, but he never lived up to his potential ,as for as monroe he's nobody to even discuss.
He’s gonna be so good in a couple years
You mean better than what he already is
He's going to be a beast... Him, jaden, and Cade... Future is bright
Debatable
@@ftb3817 HOW IS THAT DEBATABLE
@@AllThingsKen as long as they dont Minnesota, they will be OK
Such a blessing to have in Detroit
Duren plays really similar to D.Howard. His rebounding, blocks and two handed slams remind me of him
Less diva attitude too

It’s refreshing to see because no one really blocks shots like that anymore
Jalen Duren runs like Kevin Garnett. He really knows how to scoot down the floor. He has a fantastic future.

Absolute beast in the making. Looking like a Dwight Howard/Amare Stoudemire hybrid at all of 19 years old.
He scary good.
Was at that Warriors game. Duren is huge!
He's our baby, Kevin Garnett..
Love it ❤️🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽
The poster vs the Magic ??? How could you leave that out😔
hornets really drafted duren and kobe with the 13th pick and traded both of them away on draft night lmao they cant make any good decisions
They got mark williams tho so that was smart to do

Crazy that the Hornets owed Kobe and Jalen pick to a New York team

He’s already starting to feel like Spida where people are going to go “he got drafted where?!! Why so low?!?”
He will be top center when he gets good
Wait tell his 25 and in his prime
He like King Kong. Lol
Baby Dwight with a soft touch. He's about to chamberlain this years summer league if he participates
If this is Duren as a Rook. His upside will surpass Dwight Howard.
I like it
19 years old in these clips btw

He is like a baby Dwight Howard
Mini dwight
Yes, and dwight is also kinda lean the first time he play if im not mistaken. Hoping he put some work in the gym and it’s a trouble for the nba.
Lookin like Ben Wallace
I'll trade Kuminga to get him!
dwight 2.0
If this guy have a good help from teamates this will be the pistons 2.0 like before and this guy is the ben wallace 2.0
If he was on a better team it’s wraps
