I wonder if the helicopter news crews and the news ground crews ever get tired of filming the trouble and instead volunteer to help? I mean, they're all at the scene of an emergency anyways, why not put the camera down and lend a hand? Yeah, I know, they're not qualified. It just always felt wrong that they show up to the emergency but never help and instead make money from it.
Then, you wouldn't have exclusive footage! Remember, if it bleeds, it leads. People wanna see carnage, not some untrained news guys camera on the ground as he's helping to put a fire out.
Another thing that I don't understand is WHY the resident people in town's that are SURROUNDED in thick wooded areas, DON'T have meetings to disgusts their protocols for when a fire breaks out? Our neighbors had a fire breakout on their property and just with the quick thinking of us neighbors, we had gotten control of it after it burned over 1 acre of area and THAT was BEFORE the fire department had gotten there to mop up the rest of it. We were freakin heroes. 💪😁👌 It's just common sense. If EVERYONE pulls together as one, these fires can be slowed down for the firefighters to get a handle on things and prevent more spreading. Also, anyone caught DELIBERATELY starting fires should be strung up from a tall oak tree. That'll stop them from being stupid. 👍
I’m at Chico and trust me it’s REAL BAD down here. Stop looking around and evacuate and take shelter NOW!!

This fire started at Pulga/Highway 70 and was blown by 60 mph winds over several ridges and canyons in less than 2 hours.
