I just want it return to the country where it should be in a museum not on someone else's neck.

WRONG. It wasn’t stolen. And it isn’t worth $30 million. Let ME explain since you don’t know the truth.
The necklace as it exists now is not worth $30 million dollars. When it was found in London it was only the platinum choker with all of its diamonds missing. The one Chamberlain is wearing is full of cubic zirconia.
That $30 million price tag is for the ENTIRE necklace. The choker is only one small piece of it. The original Patiala necklace commissioned from Cartier by Bhupinder Singh was originally nine platinum strings of 2,930 diamonds and hundreds of rubies and at the time the 7th largest diamond in the world the DeBeers diamond. All of which are now missing except for the DeBeers diamond which was sold in 1982 at Sotheby’s. That entire necklace was worth $30 million not just the choker. Without the diamonds or the association with the maharaja the choker is probably worth a couple thousand dollars.
Also the necklace was NOT stolen. The necklace is said to have disappeared in 1948. It’s suspicious because around the time of 1947-1949 many famous diamonds and jewelry of the Indian princely states disappeared. It wouldn’t have been stolen by the British since the princes had autonomy from the British in domestic affairs and by 1947 the British had left India and had no more power.
But this date of 1947 is important because not only was it the independence of India from British rule but it was also the implementation of the integration of the princely states.
This meant that the maharajahs, sultans, nizams, and princes of India were now private citizens and could no longer collect taxes from their estates, and more importantly they had to start paying TAXES to the new Indian government. Now this was a problem for the former rulers of India.
They had to pay taxes but since they could no longer collect taxes from their subject which was their main source of income they had to resort to selling off their jewels and antiques. Not only did the patiala necklace go missing at this time but so did the 340 karat Nizam diamond from the collection of the Nizam of Hyderabad.
So they didn’t disappear their owners sold off their jewels to pay new taxes imposed on them by the new government of India. And they knew that they’d bet higher prices for their jewelry in Europe and the US than in the then impoverished India.
Well there you go. There’s the ACTUAL facts and not your nonsense.

@henrylivingstone2971 Let me give you a short story. So if a thief comes to your home and takes (loots) all your valuable in your home, then says I am leaving now, your are independent look after your home. The home owner has no choice but to sell (missing)the only valuable item to the thief because the thief is rich now? Did you say that? 🤔 I get it , its history, but to keep defending the wrong done to so many cultures and countries by the British ???? KARMA ( life is your making)will come knocking, too . What will happen? Will the same homeowners save the thief? Only time will tell.
