I grew up with Zig. I always seen him as the Bizzy Bone of NBK. Never got his credit and was one of the real Hip Hop , battle rappers. Much love ODM and Lighter Shade of Brown.

I got to meet all three of them at the Cinco de Mayo festival in Sacramento (Baby Bash, Frankie J and more were also there!) when I was 12 (2005), and I got to meet them and get their autograph! I think I still even have it somewhere. MC Magic was an absolute dick and it felt like a chore for him to say hi, whereas Zig Zag and Dos were great! Super sweet, friendly, thankful. I was freaking 12. So I never liked Magic after that. Dude was a dick.
Wow not surprised so many locally in Phoenix don't care for Magic the way he is revered outside of Arizona. Many believe its because the music genre has always been geared towards females fans being the primary focus. That is why it's a shock he treated you this way. How soon he forgot he came from making tapes at Park and Swap on 40th Street and Washington. Magic has a David Ruffin/Diana Ross complex thinking he was the primary talent cause he took advantage of the Roger voice box. Lyrically he wasn't anywhere near being Ice Cube of the group and females weren't looking at him like he was that dude all the females wanted to throw their panties on stage at. I recall on the streets of Phoenix his music was known as Eating Pu**y genre.
I used to see MC Magic at the Market Square all the time & I'm all about my Chicano Latin Rap hip hop, it was something about Magic I just couldn't listen to him It felt shady, just the whole vibe, I liked how Zag talked about forefather's I respect that, I looked up these two legends and let me tell you awesome.
