ARCOmadrid is the International Contemporary Art Fair of Spain, which, since its creation, has been one of the main platforms in the contemporary art market. In 2024, the fair celebrates its 43rd edition with the Caribbean Sea as the central project. The program curated by Carla Acevedo-Yates and Sara Hermann Morera, 'The Shore, the Tide, the Current: An Oceanic Caribbean,' will revolve around the artistic scenes of the territories connected by this sea. Additionally, ARCOmadrid 2024 will once again present artistic content with the galleries of the General Program, as the main axis of the Fair, selected by the Organizing Committee, as well as the 'Opening' section, curated by Cristina Anglada and Yina Jiménez Suriel, showcasing a selection of young galleries. The 'Never the Same. Latin American Art' section, curated by José Esparza Chong Cuy and Manuela Moscoso, continues to strengthen the historical link between ARCOmadrid and Latin American art.

Bravo pour cette excellente vidéo ( zoom sur les tableaux et les cartels, ce qui est rare). Pour ma part, j'ai apprécié la variété et la créativité de certaines oeuvres. On ne peut tout aimer dans une exposition car les goûts et les couleurs de chacun .....Ceci dit, ARCO Madrid rassemble des grands noms et dire que 85% est "Dung" me semble excessif ou peut-être une méconnaissance de l'art contemporain. como artista me decepciona ver trabajos tan básicos y sin ningún sentido, ocupar un espacio en un lienzo significa ocupar un lugar en la vida de alguien, para ello es importante dejar buenas experiencias. Lamento decir que en la mayoría de los trabajos que puedo observar están vacíos de contenido. No nos mientamos a nosotros mismos por favor!!
Las cosas que muestran y en una feria de carácter internacional. Trabajos que no valen realmente nada, desde cualquier punto de vista desde el que se los mire. 😣😣😣

Wow, I've watched the whole two and a half hours and I have to agree with @samlyons3552 comment below that 85% is rubbish. So sad to see the state of contemporary art today. The time of the great masterpieces is gone.
Lots of tired and uninspired work, but a few gems. Watching the whole thing seems not worth my time. There is a sameness if you compare to other art fairs. Seems like much of it is manufactured just for the mass audience.

A lot of LAME stuff just because it's in a frame or pedestal at this show it's considered "Art". Pretty and soulless products pushed as artistic 'taste' yet lacking any flavor.

Malevich's radical gesture is that with his black square he defeated the sun (a symbol of traditional culture). Over time, the square was transformed into a pixel and became the basis of all computer graphics. Postmodernity raised the square to the flag and began to deconstruct everything that was possible, in the end there was nothing left. It is being replaced by metamodernity and recognizes oscillation as the basis of all. The sun rises and sets. If you didn’t like the art, still y’all missing out on a beautiful city!! Highly recommend to visit! Lots of art in town apart from the art week, Prado Museum, Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection, Reina Sofia Museum, etc..
