There is very simple free software including online that joins the 3 minute clips into 1 named file for the OxO 4K and editing software will do the same. The free VLC viewer will view them all seamlessly on all platforms. An SD card is used for reliability so there is no risk if your WiFi connection to your computer is not very good. The OxO has built in hardware image stabilisation which reduces the 'motion sickness' and has a choice of resolutions and frame rates.
Hi Jaz I’m Alex. Ped surgeon from Mexico City. I recently saw your TH-cam video for the flamingo camera. I have been using cameras since 2018. I started with nanocam from designs for vision and currently futudents. I am seriously considering buying admeted’s flamingo. I would like to ask you a couple of questions if you don’t mind. You mentioned that you have more than 3 Tb of videos. What’s the best platform for storage? I recently lost a hard drive with almost 1 tb of videos. I still have 3 Tbs left stored in hard drives. Do you think flamingo’s can adapt to yeoman frame from designs for vision? Many thanks.
Great Q - the example footage at the end is all stabilised (stabilisation is applied within the Flamingo software at the end) and I like to think I have a fairly steady head. Are you using the Go Pro for dental video recording?
the Flamingo has just the 30FPS and OXO had 30, 60 or even 120 I believe (good for slow motion capture) Even on OXO I tended to use 30FPS to keep file sized (significantly) lower. Flamingo chose 30FPS as industry standard and keep battery life longer/less heating. Thanks for raising this!

thank you! the in built stabilisation and crisp quality is indeed awesome. What's the free software that joins the 3 min clips?

Thanks for that, Jaz. How did you find the image stabilisation? I found your test videos giving me ‘motion sickness’, but then I am used to a GoPro.

I noticed that the Flamingo video appears to have a lower frame rate in comparison to the Oxo. Is that actually how it is, or was that just a bug?
