Well, EC got so dark, I was happy to see all the characters again! On the other hand, there were no Nathan and Teufel, but that doesn't matter. My favorite part took place when I saw all the characters each fighting Daemon I hope he gets through this 💔
Trauma encompasses a complex array of concepts related to suffering, distress, and the human experience of profound psychological or physical harm. It must be understood by the affected person as directly threatening the affected person or their loved ones may be extremely distressing and can produce an involuntary and possibly overwhelming physiological stress response but does not produce trauma per se. but forgetting the said trauma by the affected person may cause them to have a loss of self-awareness and may hamper their relationships with others. It may also damage the mental health of the said person driving them insane. Daemon's trauma of remembering the time he had died so many times and being reincarnated again caused him to be scarred for life. He tried to suppress it but it just made it worse as now he started to hear voices from the void saber, telling him to let it all go and embrace it. He tried to ignore it but he eventually succumbs to the voices. As commander Derek once said "Corruption is something that every man has in their life, and won't succumb to their corruption. //NO HERO IS EVER INCORRUPTIBLE//" Daemon can't just forget his trauma and move on he has to understand it and try to live alongside it healthily. And because he failed to do that he gave himself up to his inner voice and became the Void Champion.
Considering Daemon so far seems to be the only one to remember the past lives, I think them being corrupted means that they might be the most dangerous champion the void could have ever had because they just got the person with the most battle and life experience that they cluld have gotten
This is truly the best portrayal of pure trauma I've ever seen in an animation, ever. All of the expressions are so poignant, the emtions are undeniable and intense, and the lighting adds the perfect touch to the atmosphere. A true 11/10! I love how Daemon's descent into corruption isn't all at once; whatever's in his head has to work at him, exploit his weaknesses, remind him of all the pain he would be escaping by succumbing. It's insidious and PERFECT. Daemon may be a strong fighter, but against centuries of death that only he can remember, is there really any defense? I love this animation. This portrayal of trauma is definitely going to be an inspiration for my own animations moving forward :D Also, I hope Daemon isn't fully beyond help. 😢
I love videos like these where we can see into the characters internal struggles. This one in particular reminds me of a comment I left on a past video where Daemon remembers too much of the past and everything he’s dealt with to the point he can’t handle all of the emotional build up and causes him to snap. I can’t wait to see where this leads considering I’ve been watching since the very beginning. Love your videos Nathan! Keep up the great work! Love all the improvements!! 💜💜

No, I doubt they no longer have direct association with the Gods anymore. Just that they retained their powers. So, Daemon, probably had a power debt to whatever witch and demons those were. This is him repaying his debt.
I feel bad for Daemon having to remember all of the times he has died then later resurrected. Then later having all his past friends mind wiped so he does not have anybody to talk to who has gone through something similar and having them not even remember him. (Sorry if there are any inaccuracies I have a tendency to misinterpret scenes). I am honestly surprised his has stayed sane for as long as he has, mad respect to him.

Possibly a bit of foreshadowing, but in one of the recounted “deaths” of deamon, one of them is Orion killing them. (Might be insignificant but i dont remember orion having fought daemon EVER before)
