Shit, man. I've been waiting for seven looong years to see them perform this one. Chills.... If I ever die, I want this song playing at my sending off. I know I probably will at some point, but listening to this one always makes me feel downright immortal.
Just heard this song for the first time a few days ago on Christmas day. I looked up the lyrics and watched Blade Runner afterwards. To me, the lyrics indicate that Alexis is identifying with Roy, a replicant, who's purpose in the movie is to find his "father" Eldon Tyrell to save himself from dying. Roy ends up killing his creator after realizing his mission for immortality is futile. "I wanna reach out and feel nothing at all," could be interpreted as reaching out and not feeling the pain of a life of fear and running away or fear of death, or perhaps symbolically reaching out towards his father without feeling the love that leads to remorse when he kills him. Food for thought!
I want to cast off the wings of desire I want to be buried in fields of fire I want to stand up and feel twenty feet tall I want to reach out and feel nothing at all

I wanted to go to this show so bad, but it was 21+ if I'm not mistaken, and also maybe sold out when I found out about it. I need them to come back.
