Thank you sir for this great lecture.... Can we say Dilatency correction or water table correction as If there is water table then there will be -pore pressure means pore pressure will act against the N- value and thus increase the N-Value, and so correction is always deductive (reduced corrected N value)
@26:54 sir shearstrength formula s=c+sighma tan phi,so here sand so c=0 ok, after you consider the sighma value, what is that (sighma means total stress=effective stress- pore water pressure) we get -u so we consider in total stress formula + ,but your not considering the effective stress in the shear strength formulay, why ❓
its not a simple increase in volume lol, increase in volume induces -u, which increases effective pressure, that misrepresents N value, and that effect does not happen on foundations, thus the need for correction, its a lot more complicated than a simple increase in volume.
Dilatency explanation is super !! , Amazing thank you sir
Good to see video added of filled work.
Very good conceptual lecture sir ...
Lot of thanks sir

Good for teaching & learning
Look wikipedia Standard Penetration Test. Problems
Thanks. Where can we find the other lectures?

Please what is the meaning of overburden.
Which means the extraloads acting over the soil

wow❤️
Excellent knowledge but poor way of teaching. Dilatency was pretty much confusing. Created a mess of things to explain a simple increase in volume.
