    The intro reminded me of older Stacy videos: tea and sunlight. I just kept waiting for you to light some candles. I get most of my candles now from places you introduced me to. I water my plants mostly during the day. I am fortunate to work from home. So I'm always looking around trying to remember what needs water. I also have a large group of plants that get watered on Sunday which takes me a couple of hours. I catch up on recorded tv shows while watering. It keeps me busy but at the same time, I find it relaxing and ritualistic.

      I know, I loved filming the old school styled videos where it's like a silent vlog. It's so hard to find the time to film those nowadays without having some sort of interference 😆. I'm also always walking around when I have a break from work to peep at my plants & see if any of them need anything from me. When Winter is near, you know Stacy is going to light some candles 🕯 😀.

    I like doing my plant chores on the weekend or when I'm alone, like once my kids are in school and I have some time before work). It can be meditative 🥰

    What a aesthetically pleasing and relaxing video. I love cactus in terracotta pots. A win- win situation. And the top dressing is like putting the cherry on top ❤

      Thanks Carmen! I'm so happy you enjoyed this video. I really enjoy these more aesthetic videos but they do take a little extra time to film & need to make sure its nice & quiet 🤫 but it's so satisfying when it all comes together. ❤ I agree, top dressing really is like that cherry on top!

    I still don’t enjoy repotting, but love watching other people repot their plants lol. I always make a big mess, and then have to end up cleaning up a bunch of dirt and stuff 😅.

    • @mypetitegarden
      @mypetitegarden  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a combo of both, I eyeball it and just go a little at a time until I see some water seeping out or sometimes I just wing it and go with what my gut is telling me is enough 😆 🤣 sometimes it works out sometimes the water overflows.

    Any idea on how to remove Hoya from wood? Finally got a Hoya Pachyclada after I saw on your video!😂 however, the Hoya is growing on a piece of wood, there is lots of algae and I wanted to remove it and do a repot into pot. Have u experience getting a Hoya when u just got it? 😊

    • @mypetitegarden
      @mypetitegarden  ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you tried wetting the wood? I find it easier to remove plants from wood (planks) after I spray some water and wet the roots of the plant or the wood surface is moistened. Just go nice and slow and it should come off.

    • @koallagom4843
      @koallagom4843 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mypetitegarden immediately I brought it home, I spray the wood with water and it has left untouched since Saturday. The Hoya pachyclada roots growing on the wood look dry! I will constantly spray the wood and slowly separate the roots from the wood. Thanks for the advice! 🥰😘lots of hugs!!!!!!😍😍😍

    • @mypetitegarden

      It is from Front Range Clay. I actually also did a video where I unboxed a bunch of their pots. They make amazing pots definitely check it out.

    How do you water without worrying about it coming out the other end/emptying saucers?

    • @mypetitegarden
      @mypetitegarden  ปีที่แล้ว

      Just experience with watering my plants in terracotta. There are times when I water too much and it spills over so I try my best to water a little at a time and wait for it to settle down and then give it a little more.
