Good morning! It's so great to e-meet you! Right haha. Baseball is the best! Do you have a favorite Minor League team? Thank you so much for watching and writing, Mandi 😀
@@GoMandiMartin my favorite team is the Lake Elsinore Storm, who are the affiliate of one of my favorite teams, the San Diego Padres! They’re also the closest MiLB team to me so it works out hehe 😌
@@KaleLikesWaffles How neat! That's so funny, and I was just thinking of: I lived in San Diego before moving to Baltimore about 3 years ago. I lived close to the Padres stadium, but I never actually got to see a game because, with as crazy as this sounds since CA was in a drought for so long - but the game got rained out every time I got tickets haha. Gosh, I wish that I had been introduced to MiLB sooner because I would have loved to see some of the CA MiLB teams, and that's so great that you have an awesome team near you! Thanks for sharing your fav MiLB team with me. I'm excited to find my favorite one, i.e., once I have the chance to see and meet several of them 🤪 I hope you have a great day!
@@GoMandiMartin oh wow, that’s some serious bad luck 😭😭 hopefully next time you’ll get the chance whenever! I can’t wait to see more MiLB videos if you continue to visit other teams and stadiums!
@@KaleLikesWaffles Haha! Right! Rain, rain, go away 🥸 You are just the sweetest! I really do hope to visit with more MiLB teams, and it's totally made my day to hear that you want more of those videos, too. I'll definitely keep you updated on that. In the meantime, I hope that you and the Storms are doing great.
Great to have you posting again. Baseball is by far my favourite American sport. I've only seen one game live, at the Mets stadium in NY, but it was quite an experience. Cricket was my game when I was younger; the skill sets are quite similar but you field bare-handed apart from the keeper.
Hi, David! What a treat to see you here again! You always make my day. Oh, wow! You've been to the Mets stadium? That like the best of the best - some would say. Ah, cricket sounds so neat! I'm a new sports fan haha. Thank you so much for always being here. I hope that you and your family have a really fantastic weekend.
Hi Mandi. There's so much that I could say. Happy that you had the experience. I'll be meeting my co-workers for the first time in-person this coming June. We'll see a major league game. My favorite team is the Chicago Cubs and they will be playing the Tampa Bay Rays in St. Petersburg.
Will! Wow to everything and so happy to see you! How awesome that you finally get to meet your coworkers in person -- and in just 2 months. Are you nervous? That's so exciting that you get to go to a Major League game. Have you been to one before? The Chicago Cubs are so classic! You get to go to St. Petersburg! I've wanted to go there, so I hope you love it - and I hope that you'll share what it was like. I really appreciate you 😀
@@GoMandiMartin My dad took me to 1-2 games a year from age 8 thru high school. The last time we went to a game in Chicago was historic. It was the Cubs first night game at their home stadium in 1988. I have seen several games when the Cubs play Atlanta. So I'm used to cheering against the majority of the crowd. I used to live in St. Petersburg, for 3 years in the 2000s.
@@willcooper6980 Good morning 🌞 Oh my gosh, you were such a lucky kid! What a special thing to do with your dad. I'm sure it's awesome to be able to say that you were there for the first night home game! Ahhhh, I think I'll like to cheer against the majority of the crowd, too. Cool! Did you like living in St. Petersburg? Do you think it's changed much since the 2000s?
@@GoMandiMartin Hi there Mandi. Yes I had great parents. They're both gone now. There was good and not so hot to living in St. Petersburg. I was in a Toastmasters club when I lived there, otherwise I would've been alone. I liked that traffic was not too bad. The apartment complex where I lived gradually got worse over time. I haven't been there since 2017. I'm looking forward to seeing the rebuilt pier. From what I've heard, the area west of downtown has been redeveloped.
@@willcooper6980 Good afternoon, Will 😀 I'm so sorry to hear about your parents. I really love that your love for baseball has continued; I imagine that going to the games are a sweet way to pay tribute to your dad's memory. Isn't Toastmasters the best! I found a Toastmasters that I loved, loved, loved in San Diego, but immediately after I visited, all meetings stopped for Covid, and I moved here to Baltimore before they re-opened. Ah, I miss them! (the Toastmaster's group). How great that you had your group, so you weren't alone. Ah, that's neat to hear about the re-development; hopefully that makes the city nicer and not the other way hehe. Well, I'm looking forward to hearing all about your trip ⚾🎉 Wishing you a great day!
@@jackrussell19a Ah, yes! Now, being wiser (hehe), you can sit and yell at and cheer for the ones that are out there getting tossed around 🎉 That sounds just as fun. The van is coming along; it has a very big and grand journey ahead... Is Rugby a really huge sport there?
Love seeing other vlogs involving other Minor League Baseball teams! 🥹
