Hi Raj good to see you doing videos again. Givenchy Gentleman is one of my favourites - it’s also currently on offer at Boots for £44 100 ml! I also adore L’heure Bleue and I agree it’s one of the best! Keep up the good work!! 👍🏻😀
perfect informative video Raj, yesterday i was at Guerlain boutique in Prague - tried everything from new L´art and Materials to old classics again - wooow L´Heure Bleu, Samsara, Vol de Nuit and Jardin du Bagattele - I must buy them all !!!!!!!!! soooo calming, sooothing and timeless
Great to see the "proper" version of Azzaro's Pour Homme. 😆 Actually wearing the modern stuff today but I still much prefer the vintage. But do give the aftershave version of Quorum a try since I think it fits the style better. Since it's cheap as chips you can apply generously too. Love that Shalimar bottle. 🤩
Hey Raj, I still remember you from back where you started 11-12 years ago. I thought you would venture into traditional wet shaving too. I started my fragrance interest back in the mid 80’s when I smelled the original Lagerfeld for men in my big brothers room and thought it would attract girls. It did, but I soon found out it also attracted my own nose and before I was 16-17 years old I had amassed 35-40 fragrances - the old style Dior, Paco Rabanne, Burberry, Dunhill, YSL Kouros, Davidoff etc. I took a break from fragrances from mid 90’s until mid 2000 where I began buying 5-10 fragrances a year. In 2010 I got hit by the traditional wet shaving bug and collected badger brushes in 100’s and DE razors in several dozens and then came 100’s of shaving soaps with their unique scents and after shaves. That made my interest in fragrances come to life again and within 4-5 years I owned 800+ full bottle fragrances. I’m now trying to use up what I have and I’m down to 200-300 bottles. If I was to start from scratch now I would focus on owning 20-25 fragrances from Dior, Guerlain, Chanel, Hermés and YSL and stop right there. Do you still use a DE razor, Raj ? Cheers, Claus from Copenhagen Denmark
Great to hear from you, Claus. That’s an interesting journey you’ve had with fragrances and wet shaving. And yes I still use my DE. The Merkur 34C I believe. Currently using the shaving cream by Speick. One of the best I’ve used and I love the scent.
@ Have you tried any shaving soaps, Raj ? As you say Castle Forbes make great shaving creams and Speick shaving cream is also affordable and very very good. But I find that the good artisan shaving soaps take the performance to an even higher level. You should try Barrister & Mann, Mike’s Natural and Saponificio Varesino shaving soaps with a good shaving brush. Next level performance. Really love that you venture into the old classic fragrances from my youth. I owned that Givenchy black white box. It was a very powerful scent back then. Dior Eau Sauvage was also a bit stronger than today’s version. I’m a huge Azzaro PH fan. It’s quite close to the original today. I own a 200 ml bottle from 2012. Great anise fougere. Cheers Claus
@ yes I do like shaving soaps but do prefer the creams. Thanks for the recommendations. I’ve heard of Saponificio. Will check it out. I also want to try Mitchell’s wool fat.
The current "Quorum" is watered down. It does nothing for me. It differs considerably even from the previous formula which is still very good. So it is not really necessary to search for the vintage version in this case.
Great stuff! With Pour Monsieur I also prefer the edt over the edp. Although Edp is good too
Yeah i think edt has more going on. Looking forward to wearing the edp more often though.
Great video with some great choices in there and I enjoyed it and have a blessed day
Thanks so much
Quite a haul!!! Great to watch. Looking forward to more!
Glad you enjoyed it
What a fantastic haul! Some all time greats in there, well done!
Thanks a lot. Probably one of the best hauls I’ve done.

Thanks mate. That’s a a bargain. I think I heard that they’ve changed the name to Gentleman Original and the formula is still quite good.
Fantastic Haul Raj.. some all time greats here. Enjoy!
Thank you, Pradeep!

Great to hear that, Miles. Never tried Bagatelle but sounds interesting.

Ok good to know re. Quorum. And yeah those old Guerlain bottles are lovely.

That’s good to know. Thanks.
Great review and thank you. As you said the vintage quorum might have been better than modern version.
Thanks for watching!
