When I first heard this song, it was the English version sang by Alexander Stewart (Canadian), I thought it was the original language of the song. My appreciation to the person who wrote the English version. Translating a song is way harder than translating an article for sure. Because you need to adjust the lyrics without changing the meaning. You nailed it thou. Well... My ears simply fell in love with Alexander's voice. So I voted for Canadian.
This is originaly from indonesia, but alexandra porat do it very very good. And the best part when she use indonesia language, make me speechless

I love all of these versions , they are singing by heart and soul , and it's all what matters to me, each of them made a great job. It's not about the first one or the last one to me each of them touch my heart in their own unique way. From me just thank you for opportunity of listening that.
