খুব ভালো লাগলো, একটা লাইক দিয়ে দিলাম, কামাক্ষা স্টেশন থেকে মন্দির কতো দুর, পল্টন বাজারে থাকলে সুবিধা হবে, না কি মন্দিরের পাশে থাকলে সুবিধা হবে, আমাদের ফেরার ট্রেন রাত 10-55,, pls reply ভাই,❤❤
যদি পুরো গুহাটি শহর ঘুরতে চান তাহলে পল্টন বাজারে থাকা ঠিক হবে আর যদি কামাখ্যা মন্দির শুধু ঘুরতে চান তাহলে মন্দিরের কাছে থাকা ঠিক হবে।
স্টেশন থেকে কামাখ্যা মন্দির পৌঁছাতে কুড়ি থেকে 25 মিনিট লাগে

@@NotunTaste According to Hindu mythology Shiva created the island for his wife Parvati's happiness and pleasure. Shiva is said to have resided here in the form of Bhayananda. According to a myth in Kalika Purana, Shiva burnt Kamadeva with his third eye on Umananda when he interrupted Shiva's deep meditation, hence its alternative name Bhasmachal (Assamese: bhasma, "ash"; and achal, "hill"; literally, "hill of ashes").Evidence of a stone temple belonging to the post-Gupta period can be seen on the site. The site has stone sculptures and carvings belonging to the early medieval period. Achaturbhuja stone female figure still exists here besides rock-cut figures of Ganesha and a cave.
Brick temple of Umananda was built in 1694 CE by the Bar Phukan Garhganya Handique by the order of King Gadadhar Singha (1681-1696), one of the eldest and strongest rulers of the Ahom dynasty. The temple was desecrated by the Mughal Army.
The original temple was however immensely damaged by a devastating earthquake of 1897. Later, it was reconstructed by a rich local merchant who chose to inscribe the interior part of a Siva temple with Vaishnavite slogans
