I short this stock everytime it pumps and I’ve done very well doing so, just saying, not saying you are wrong, just saying. Insider selling is a huge red flag for me personally!
Pltr sat in the weeds for years. I bought and sold it several times. Never budged. Now, suddenly it's all the buzz. Numbers were always great. It's as if someone was taking all the stock cash and building their state of the art mini mercenary army, competing with Blackrock to see who could be a bigger dick. They're good enough friends to not take it too seriously but I always figured this is an anti American, anti constitutional outfit in bed with another anti American elitist wing of the fed pulling some evil stunts around the world that few people know about. Including myself, but I read, Anyway, now it decided to run. I don't get it.
they have many other restaurants as well... for example Burger King in Europe, Chipotle, Habit, Applebees, Jersey Mikes and more.... plus Nvidia is invested in them... you need to do more DD
Comparing SOUN to PLTR doesn't even make sense. Not even remotely similar business model and revenue generation. I bought 5000 shares of SOUN at $6.3 when it dipped heavily after the latest earnings which I thought was an overreaction, but the red flags raised by Travis are absolutely legit and I have to start taking some profits too. This company is essentially buying growth - it's not that organic and certainly doesn't justify 130+% price jump in just a month or so. So even the sustainability of the growth story itself is very questionable at this price point. PLTR, once it became profitable, is a legit story, just that its actual revenue really isn't that high compared to its marketcap. All other financial metrics look healthy - from cash flow to margins - but valuation ratios look off as hell. That's all. Different problems altogether. Keep up the solid videos Travis!
Agreed. I like Travis but this take was bad. Toast could go to OpenAi or they could go to Soundhound which specifically deals with restaurants for their voice bot automation. Watch any video from the Soundhound CEO and you'll find that it takes 20 years to develop voice recognition software and build models that work. You think just because Apple has Siri and Amazon has Alexa that they are going to license that software to a restaurant? No chance. I'm not 100% certain how OpenAi got their voice software to be so spot on so quickly but chances are they bought out another company that had a decade of backtested models.
go on their website and read their ces announcement. About their demonstration with nvidia at the ces. People are buying for a reason this company is for real
I love how just within the last 24 hours there are all these negative videos on SoundHound… News comes out to hype a stock. Then when the price reaches a certain level news starts coming out that basically trashes the company to get people to sell so the price drops… It’s a pattern that constantly repeats.
The insider sales at first made me nervous, but they paid off their debt with a lot of that money. The primary reason I invested in SOUN when it was about $2 a share, it was because of their patent backing. I got 1030 shares, just sold 130 shares at $13.72 to get near my buy in back and still have 900 shares. So far it's worked out well for me, but I invested when it was low about a year ago. Would I buy now at $13 plus? No. But I'm certainly glad I took the gamble when it was $2 a share. If you don't own shares now, I'd say wait a bit and see if it drops. I think it'll drop back down to a more realistic number, maybe around $8 before their next quarterly report. Long story short, I wouldn't buy now but if you're in a spot like me hold it and give it time. I'm glad I sold enough to get near my buy in back, I'll use that to invest in something else that's small right now that has potential like I saw in SOUN a year ago.
I think a lot of people in the comments here that are saying you are wrong will end up losing a lot of money. One guy mentioned Parkev, but he also said he felt it was overvalued and would be a challenge to grow, losing money, etc. Most of the investment right now is retail, not institutional. That means it's more hype, not really even Fomo. I sold mine, took my profits, and if it dips again to a reasonable level (like half of what it is now), will do it again. I appreciate people like you who truly analyze a stock, despite the negative feedback, and just say it like it is, regardless of how many likes you don't get. Thank you.
You sold so of course you want the stock price to fall. You're going to be so sad when this stock is sitting at $20 and it isn't sitting at $7 like you are hoping.
We'll see. I doubt it. I put the returns in BBAI, GRRR, and GFAI which have a lot more room to grow and started popping too. SOUN is not an NVDA or PLTR. It's not even profitable. There's just so many other companies that have so much better valuation.
Well, they don't just work with torchis, but other chains too, what caught my eye is that they are getting to automotive business as well, so I think that is where a lot of the money will be coming from eventually. It's a interesting stock and I think it will still grow. Insider selling is never good, agree on that. We will se, but as of right now, I'm buying.
I've seen 2 hit pieces come out today on SOUN, within hours of each other. It's funny how that only happens when momentum slows. Show us your short position.
Hey Travis, appreciate all the videos and recommendations you make. But the conclusions in this one seems a little bit rushed. I also follow your colleague from the Motley Fool - Parkev Tatevosian and he has a ton of in-depth research on SoundHound AI and doesn't make rushed conclusions that this is an overvalued pumped company with no actual value proposition. Also Nvidia has a very firm partnership with SoundHound, so I think your conclusions and red flags are a bit rushed
I agree. To jump into the Torchy’s Taco not being known. It doesn’t matter if they had 5 restaurants. They bought the product package. Jersey Mikes has 4,000 locations and international and they are using SOUNDHOUND. Kia, Chipotle. Additionally, Amelia is the Department of Defense bro.
@@olandsmith2660 If all of these partnerships are so great, why isn't the company profitable? Why are losses exceeding revenue? Why does Soundhound need to keep buying companies? This kind of AI is becoming a commodity. That's the bottom line.
@@asymmetricinvesting SoundHound has registered increased customer share percentages from automotive, restaurants, financial services, insurance, healthcare companies. It is still in the growth stages so the question is whether they can deliver on the expectations continuously, not if there is any value at all. I don't think they would have reached this stage if there was no actual value and differentiation.
With Trump's re-election, both US stocks and Bitcoin are seeing strong gains. I'm eyeing the potential for more market volatility, but Bitcoin's all-time high is interesting. With inflation and interest rates on the rise, I'm wondering if this is a good time to dive deeper into stocks or focus on crypto for diversification. Any thoughts on balancing both?

They arent unloading, they are just taking some money for themselves. like 12.5 mill is nothing when you have a 100mill home, 5 cars and taxes to pay. what you said about AI in ordering. Like AI's communicating with each other, to resolve what im asking for and make it happen. do you know what i mean? although i do think the stock is going back to $9 at least i sold at 14.5 and im happy with that. But id rebuy it if the price was right.
If it wasn't for Nvidia, nobody would even know this company exists. There's no MOAT, there's dilution, there's revenue buying and there are increasing losses. Just because someone is being realistic on a stock and you don't like it, does not mean he's short! Grow up guys
Because SoundHound uses NVIDIA chips. Pretty standard strategy from NVIDIA. They're trying to capture demand. They've invested in both cloud companies (Coreweave) and applications in order to ensure customers don't look elsewhere for GPUs as the market gets more competitive.
People were saying Do not Buy Palantir when it was in the teens. look at it now. I am loading the boat on SOUN on every dip.
Palantir was profitable, right?
