Since it's an AX GTi, it's probably the classic 1.4i TU3JP engine. Aluminium Power! (The block is cast in aluminium, reducing the weight considerably. The cylinder bores are steel sleeves)

Is it even physically ROOM for the larger and heavier cast iron lump that is the TU5 series in the AX GT or GTi?
And why bother? The TU5 doesnt offer that much extra power to compensate for the extra mass or slower revving characteristics. The TU3JP used in racing were 90BhP from factory, and clever mechanics have pushed them up to over 130.
