Great shout for Hoss Tools Chicken Johnny! They really have been a good friend to us. You have a lot there. Those sunflowers will be amazing! I love the way you end with your new saying. Bless you folks.
Thanks, I will be going to Indiana soon to get my potatoes and Onion sets, that's a haul. Micro Farmer said some things the other day on Jan's live that made me decide to be intentional about showing my faith more in my day to day life, hence the new ending, I have always liked the way Jan ends her videos also.
I can't wait to get my corn going either it was so good last year that we decided to triple our crop... I hope you have good luck with your crop!!!!🌻🌻🌻
morning John love it then you get stuff in the mail and can`t remember what you ordered, it is like Christmas. Have a great day and we will see ya soon.. PS you know not remembering is a sign of getting old, here in ala we call it CRS, {can`t remember sh---}
I planted 3 or 4 National Pickling cucumber plants last year and they produced all season until it started to cool down in Sept. We got pickled out. :) Way more than we needed. I have never had kohlrabi. I might need to meet you at the farmers market this summer to try it out.
COOL Mail Call that you have there Chicken Johnny! Purple Kohlrabi, never heard of that before and the Gypsy Peppers you say are big and sweet? lol....and the contest is ON! Who will have the biggest Pepper in this growing season Johnny Boy or Chicken Johnny? ;)
You are very laid back!! 🤣🤣🤣!I feel like I'm about to jump the gun and start my seeds too soon!!! Or I'll wait to long... My green house isn't organised yet ... I don't think the previous owners opened if up since the 70's... It's an actual cabin... I just got my hands on it... But it is still tooooo cold... I don't have lights yet... At 6:00 a.m. it's going to be 18 degrees .... patience is not wasted me...well ....put it this way...The renovation work is saving me ....
@@chickenjohnny3308 we're in a town called Westwood which is in northern California not the one by LA(.LOL)zones are 6a,6b &7A... I could live with not getting anything into the ground until after mother's day but I have my grapes and raspberries and blueberries that I really do want to get into the ground cuz they're already blooming in a bag up here I've spread some Ash and I heard that was really good and I've turned the soil it's not frozen remarkably but do you think 20° is too cold the temperature of the ground to to plant?
@@venturasunflower1014 generally wait till the ground is 45 or 50. I do not know anything about growing grapes or raspberries I know blueberries would do well with ash well worked into the soil to increase the acidity pine needles also work well.
@@venturasunflower1014 I was watching the video of the green house and it looks like you are going to have a nice facility there. Is Westwood near Big Bear? I had an Aunt who stayed in Big Bear for a few years.
