India released it's new map on November 2, 2019. There are 28 states and nine Union territories in this updated map. Gilgit-Baltistan is included as a part of Laddakh region. Pakistan has objected over the inclusion of Gilgit-Baltistan in this new Indian Map. On a similar line, Nepal too has objected over the inclusion of an area named Kalapaani in the newly released Indian map. Nepal has objected to the KalaPani area being shown as part of Indian territory. KalaPani is a disputed territory between India and Nepal. Nepal claims this area to be a part of Nepalese territory. India considers this area a part of Uttarakhand's Pithoragarh district. Responding to the objections raised by Nepal, Indian foreign ministry said that a new map accurately shows sovereign Indian territory. India said it had not made any changes to its border in the newly released Indian map.
This may be one of the most shocking reports you will see today. During the ongoing dispute of border between India and Nepal, actress Manisha Koirala has tweeted and sided with Nepal. The 'new map' shows India's Kalapani and Lipulekh as Nepal's territories. On Monday, the 90's actress replied to the tweet of Nepal Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali who informed about the inclusion of two disputed regions in the official map of the countryFurthermore, she thanked the government too.
