Thank you. Open work permit is better because you are not tied to any employer and you have the freedom to change employers as you like. But the truth is depending on how you apply, that will determine which one you will be getting. As long as you have a work permit, you will be fine. Open or closed, the most important thing is to have a valid work authorization

Wow this is awesome. I applied for temporary work permit and my application has been submitted by my representative since last year October and I did my upfront medical in September 7th,2021. Last month IRCC asked me to do my medical again and upload my updated employment letter of which I have done all that, but up till now I have not heard from IRCC. I was told my medical will be assessed by Canadian doctor with 4-6 weeks. It is going to 6 weeks now. Because I did my new medical on 2 of July. Is there a good sign of visa approval after medical. Sure, you can get your biometrics done in Abuja and also send your passport there when requested but it you did your biometrics in Lagos and choose to send your passport to the Abuja office, you will pay a little extra.

Applying to jobs is a numbers game but just keep at it. You will get your own job soon. I applied for 10 months before getting my company.
