- Hi guys, today I will be sharing how I got a job in Canada from Abroad (Nigeria) and how to apply for a Work Permit or Work Visa with LMIA.

Relocation Process/Documents
1. LMIA
- To be done by the company
2.Visa Application for Work Permit with LMIA
a. Primary Applicant (Closed work permit)
- Police report
- Proof of Work Experience
- Degree transcript and Certificate
- Paystub proof from past employer to show that you pay tax(last 4)
- Recommendation letter from the previous employer
- Employment record (breakdown of relevant work experience)
- Marriage certificate (if applicable)
- International Passport with all visa pages (2 years work visa but if your passport is less than that timeline then you get a lesser timeline but you can renew)
- LMIA
- Passport photograph
- Current employment letter/contract
- Previous employment letter/contract
- Resume
- Birth certificate
- Some forms to fill
b. Spouse(open work permit)
- International Passport
- Marriage certificate
- Police report
- Few forms to fill
3. Pay for visa Application: $580CAD for 2 people in my case, it includes Biometrics fee
4. Medical Health Examination (to be done in advance before applying for a visa)
5. Biometrics (valid for 10 years)
- Get a biometrics confirmation letter
- Book an appointment with VFS Global Canada Visa Application Centre.
- Got to VFS Global website and book an appointment day and time slot
- Print appointment letter and take it along
- Take an International passport along with the letter for each person
- Take the visa application receipt along
- 2 Coloured Printed copies of International Passport Data Page
- Keep documents given after the process
6. Visa Application profile was getting updated with biometrics status and health examination status
- Re-submission of some documents (not always required)
7. Request for Passport submission
- Print out the passport request letter
- Print out the corresponding letter
- Send an email to the VFS office to find out how to submit the passport
Template
With your passport(s), make sure you include:
* The passport request letter(s) you received from IRCC
* Any applicable visa application centre (VAC) fees, such as passport transmission fees
* Your contact information, including your email address and phone number (written in front of the two photocopies of the data page of your international passport)
* The Collection Slip you were given on the day biometrics was captured; for those who had their biometrics captured for this application.
* VFS Consent Form (2).
8. Send the passport via Courier
9. Track passport till it gets delivered to VFS
- Get Tracking Id from VFS for passport movement
10. Get back your passport with the work visa.
- Ready to Japa!!!!!!!!

Open work permit is better because you are not tied to any employer and you have the freedom to change employers as you like.
But the truth is depending on how you apply, that will determine which one you will be getting.
As long as you have a work permit, you will be fine. Open or closed, the most important thing is to have a valid work authorization

Hi Seyi. This is the best video for me so far. I am currently schooling and working in Jamaica as a skilled health worker while my family are still in Nigeria (my wife and 3 children). Is it possible for me to start apply for visa for the whole family under sponsorship like yours and do my biometric here in Jamaica while they do theirs in Abuja at the same time using the same sponsorship under me as the primary applicant to canada?

Payslips are always a good way to show employment records in addition to reference letters but if you don't have them, you can as well find alternative solutions to show it or write a letter to explain your situation.

I don't know what a purchasing job is/means. However, this route is specifically for IT/STEM-related jobs.

Some previous videos on how filll the form all tick temporary, say all work permit are supposed to be temporary ,but my offer is permanent,in this case what should I tick.

Wow this is awesome. I applied for temporary work permit and my application has been submitted by my representative since last year October and I did my upfront medical in September 7th,2021. Last month IRCC asked me to do my medical again and upload my updated employment letter of which I have done all that, but up till now I have not heard from IRCC. I was told my medical will be assessed by Canadian doctor with 4-6 weeks. It is going to 6 weeks now. Because I did my new medical on 2 of July. Is there a good sign of visa approval after medical. - online algorithm test or take home project or app,
- interviews with different stakeholders (technical) and
- soft skills or behavioural interviews
