The main problem with the Allstars format is that we have to spend loads of time having the EXACT same conversations every week: why do you need to be here? girl, I need to be here, why should you stay? I'm going to fight for this, bla bla bla. Still, this season is so worth it for Juju's confessionals alone.
The only part of the improv maxi challenge I enjoyed was that they were outside, in the sunlight, in public, in day drag. I miss the days where they would be out in public selling cherry pie.
I feel like their would end up being a bit of a morale problem as some queens run away with more points and other queens fall towards the bottom of the scoreboard 😕 like I’d get pretty bummed out if I had stick around for a full 8-10 weeks with no hope of winning after week 3 or so
But each week the winner gets a tip so even if you were last last week, you could still win and make some coin. Maybe a first, second, third place... $10k, 5k, 1k?
I've been binging her videos lately and maybe that's why, but this runway Shea was giving me some black Juno Birch vibes, like Shea would be the perfect suburban housewife that Juno observed upon crash landing on Earth and decided to model herself after, I don't know. It was fierce for sure!

I think the next improv challenge they need to get a guest judge who can teach them improv before they push them into the scene. Maybe get Rachel Dratch or Molly Shannon? Or Jane Lynch? or Jennifer Coolidge? Or the IRONIC Catherine O'Hara. Or do a Christopher Guest Improv Challenge. The SheMZ was not the tea.

Tbh, I remember a time where we were BEGGING the show to be longer, so on one hand its like, we gof what we wanted, but on the other. If all they do is fill that extra half hour with needless drama and Emmy Mirror Tragedies, what are we doing?
And this formula is, imo, really flattening the queens. It's at the point where all the manufactured drama, and all the tragedy mirror BS is erasing their uniqueness in favour of shitty reality TV scripting abd manipulative emotional stings. The brilliance and individuality of the girls are being substituted with hollow, stereotypical caricatures.
It's ironic that the shorter episodes had more mini challenges and Ru walkthroughs (of which I mostly only miss the mini challenges honestly) whereas the longer episodes are just tragedy mirrors and ten minutes of deliberation filler between a queen choosing a lip stick and actually getting to lip sync
It feels weird for the show to have both a separate untucked show as well as a segment after the judging in the regular show where the queens are untucking and discussing who to vote. It leaves no content for the actual untucked episode...🤷♀️

Fun fact- the first all stars for survivor was a gag. Amber and Boston Rob backstabbed all their friends who they met from the previous seasons and who they went on tour together. The final tribal council was so bitter and petty- I loved it 😂

I wish drag race would calm down on the 5 seasons a year solely because I would LOVE a drag race Canada review , they got mini challenges, embarrassing the queens photo shoots, jimbo! UGH (not to mention the lipsyncs so far!!!)
Well, that's probably going to happen do to COVID. We're probably not going to get a new season of any version of Drag Race until late 2021 at the earliest.
It seems to be a common theme that in comedy and improv challenges, some queens think the key to success is talking over other people and steamrolling. If you’re genuinely funny, your performance will stand out. If you steamroll and don’t play around with your fellow queens, in my opinion, it tends to tank miserably. The great thing about comedy is when people play off of each other so it just bothers me that the default roles seem to be the steamroller and the steamrolled. Drink every time I said steamroll or any variation of the word. Edit: When Mayhem BenDelaChristed herself I lost my mind. I’m tired of these shenanigans!

They should move all the backstage deliberation-pleading their cases-untucked stuff from the episode to untucked and use that time for mini challenges and fun werkroom banter! I agree that the episodes feel too long but I don't think the problem is the amount of time - it's the lack of content. Also, I really really miss the mini challenges, I feel they add so much to the episode and my enjoyment of it
The lip syncs have all been pretty disappointing/ dull, bar Yvie. I’ve also come to the shocking revelation that Alyssa isn’t that great at them. She’s very entertaining to watch dance andI I love her personality . But ....She has the same face through each one and doesn’t really express or emote! I’d like to see her do a ballad so I can be proved wrong! Morgan won this one IMHO.

They were all green screened. You notice it when boy shea talks. I think the walls were green screen but the set pieces were real.

The SHE-MZ feels like it should have been a challenge on s1-3 maybe 4 pushing it.
