#PDArmy, MG Motors are coming to India, and if you too are eager, hit that Like button; and tell us below which is your most favourite car from the video.
PowerDrift Loved the whole editing on this one. I know its not possible to have the same level of finesse in all videos, but I am seeing alot of POWERDRIFT elements that attracted me to this channel right from PTR days... awesome job. You guys are brilliant!!
PowerDrift I'm very surprised to see brands lunching first in Nepal and then only arriving in India ... MG has already been launched in Nepal ... The panigale v4 has also arrived and also all the latest benelli models have Been launched in Nepal and also I remember the pulsar ns 160 being launched early in Nepal than in India
Well maybe they had a great history but look at the present, they're own by the Chinese. For instance, just look at what lenovo did with motorola after it's acquisition.
First thing is that this is not British brand now this is Chinese brand MG (moris garage) is now owned by SAIC a Chinese automobile brand. And it is on you want to buy one or not.
PowerDrift I don’t like to be arguing with PD but Tata is not meddling with JLR’s business model or engineering. Is it the same case with SAIC? One is still manufacturing their cars in their old factory and the other has converted that into a museum. 😊
I can relate to this. I used to own a Miata. The Miata owners have constant drives, hangouts, etc. They are super friendly and a Miata always smiles at and greets another Miata. I am also grateful to MG because Miata was conceived to resurrect the spirit of the old MG Roadsters, but make it more reliable and for the present time.
It's possible for SAIC to build a reliable couple/roadsters such as a new MG TF. Only time will tell. Our MG ZS so far haven't let us down. It's well built.
Amazing episode. Powerdrift has successfully made a 38yr old man, an ardent automotive exponent, a business man, a sports person and a part time racer, look forward to every new episode launch. A truly remarkable feat 😋 Kudos to the Powerdrift team, good effort and execution! The effort is really showing I must say. The harder u r willing to work and get adventurous better the product will look as we all know... (p.s: Suddenly all the old timers (will not name any) seem to look terribly lack lustre.
I never knew about the great history of MG motors. Those 1938 speed run cars look so stunning and fluidic in their design. Thank you powerdrift for this video.
He guys, this is probably my first comment on TH-cam and I felt the need to do so because I wanted to commend the great job that you have done on this particular video; this ought to be one of the most sophisticated videos by PD out there... it just shows your passion and emotions towards your work, and towards the automotive industry. I am, however, a car and bike enthusiast, and I follow your channel religiously for your reviews about them. My favourite car in this video is undoubtedly the MG A ROADSTER (6:26). Rohan, Varun, Glen and Sagar... love the way you present your videos; Rohan's presentation for this particular one was commendable; you're one my favourites (and no I'm not biased because of the name). Looking forward to such exciting videos. Keep up the good work Team PD.
Rohan Nandkumar Thanks for taking the time out to write an elaborate reply Rohan. Thanks for the kind words. Bigger better stories are coming our way so stay tuned. See you soon
Perhaps the best video/documentary on TH-cam at the moment. cinematography, direction, script absolutely another level it just felt like watching a documentary from BBC it was that class.
Awesome Video...Loved every inch of it...Yes I do believe passion brings the glory and that's the case herein...We Welcome MG motors with our open and Soul Heart here in India..
Rohan (Ten hut) is here.. finally.. seeing you after a long time.. my favorite person at Powerdrift..😉 His accent.. is.. superb... the way he collects words and makes outstanding sentence's..!!
If that's an issue, well you can help those "True Brit car owners" by getting yourself a British Leyland and drive them daily to see if it breaks down. If it doesn't break, then you're the hero!
You guys need to realise that when the Chinese acquired the MG brand they retained the services of many of the British engineers who worked for MG Rover. The new MGs that followed (MG6 and MG3) were designed and engineered by the British design team at Longbridge headed by Tony Williams-Kenny. Currently, MG/SAIC employ around 300 designers and engineers at Longbridge and in 2018 opened a second design studio in London. Yes, the company is Chinese owned and the cars are made in China, but there is significant British input in design and engineering.
Chinese don’t play fare. They don’t value intellectual property rights and don’t do fare trade. If you let them into your market, they will kill that market with their unfair advantages provided by their government. So even if their cars are good.. I will refrain from buying them. Sorry.
I should have listened more to history when I was in school. I would have if the syllabus was about brands like these.... Well I am very excited after watching this video because its such brands with such history and passion that we need for the pure spirit to live on.
In this episode The camera framings all are perfectly done & kudos to the creative camera person who loves travelling & automotive . A visual treat in seeing this episode. Gud work Team
I swear I never enjoyed a history class or for that any history lesson so much . Great work powerdrift , u guys nailed it this time as well and that's why I say east or west powerdrift was the best . Rohan sir you are the best
Thats a lot for a single video.. seriously loved the content for this video and learnt more about MG...quite fascinated about the fact that they attempted to set world record while they just entered the market.... Thanks PD😁
Just watched this after watching a bunch of motor trend videos in a row. I must say this not just stood in par but even excelled at moments in terms of making and the sheer passion of motoring. so proud of you guys, keep conquering territories and keep setting benchmarks on fire. ....and Rohan, I have a theory too, if you keep on doing something out of passion, no matter how hard it gets, you never get crushed and you always end up standing taller.....metamorphosis was the answer, you know what I'm talking about.
Another awesome video by Tenhut from POWERDRIFT! Why is it everytime that when Rohan sir does any video, he touches the inner soul of every motoring enthusiast by his concluding words! Those endings to every video conveys a message. A message that true motoring enthusiast feel and their love for automobile grows even much! Mine did and yours?? Once again thank you for the brief history on MORGAN GARAGE MOTORS in this sweet video! This trip was really worth it I guess! Cheers! #powerdrift #pdarmy #pdforce #tenhut
Amazing video , You guys know auto journalism in and out ( For India very well ) .Wish to know more about the SUV they are coming up with next year in India .
If you would lower the “ background music “ a little bit more and focus on your voice you will have a great intro or speak up let your voice be the center of the into to your videos you have a good one brother keep giving us great videos
Nice video. Liked it a lot. Would have liked it even better if PD had mentioned one small fact when talking about MG's history which happened in the recent past. (12 April 2006 to be precise)
PD you should not fall for this many old time brand names from auto to software who have shut shop a long time ago are for sale online on smergers some as cheap as 50k there are a few Chinese companies who are buying the brand name and trying to sell their products associated with these names example borgward, mg etc etc........,
Rohan Albal Their is a reason why international brands are scared to open up shops in China and not so scared to open in India. Indians have high value and respect intellectual property rights unlike the Chinese. And that is the difference between Tata and SAIC
Doesn't matter because the build quality is NOT like back in British Leyland! Not even BMW nor Phoenix could save Rover. Only SAIC turned MG back to its feet. I've tried... "roasting" our MG but so far it's a good (but not great) car.
Man.. I never liked the company cause it is now owned by the chineese. You just spoiled that concept of mine brother. Such an awesomely awesome piece of art. The video.
Nice video and quite informative. I think background music needs to be toned down a bit so voice is louder and clearly heard (especially on laptop speakers) :) But nonetheless, a great job on introducing the marque to India!
You guys should make more videos like this, where you take us through the history of certain brands only to bring us to their latest offerings.. Just great 👍🏻
Welcome to India MG Motors. Love to see such a brand with history and heritage come to our market. Very good video introduction for the brand and my favourite car from the video is MG A Roadster.#PDArmy
I think PowerDrift should do this more often 😍 Pick a brand and talk about its history and it’s present 🙌🏻 The video was beautifully cinematographed ❤️ MG6 just made me fall in LOVE with it 😍 and I can’t wait for its launch in India. And this video made my day 😇 #PowerDriftIsForeverBae ❤️
MG ZR, the epitomy of hot hatches built by a British manufacturer. I've always loved them, and this video goes to show that even if the company is not alive, the brand will live on forever, if not the cars, the memories will.
Who else thinks too much of hype for this british company? We buy these cars and they make the profit!! I think we should encourage Indian manufacturers Mahindra and Tata is not disappointing the customers nowadays
@overdose. Agree, considering Tata already owns jaguar and giving value for money mass market cars at international standards. Affordable Indians never sway from Mercedes, Audi and BMW n that's why this present Chinese company is trying hard to cash in on the legacy of erstwhile MG to position their product among them.
Passion and Heritage when come together leave a deep etched mark on the soul of the individual. Sheer respect for such brands who make customers to come together to build a community and fuel in the energy and life for the brand to prosper and live. Hope to see you in India #MGMotors And yes we are also a community who will take #Powerdrift to greater heights of success.
Guys you have awesome content but you need to do something about the actual talk through volume and music volume. The music blasts too loud and anchor voice is too muted. This has been the case in many of your recent videos.
To add further... Should boycott all Chinese products till they stop supporting Pakistan. China has globally claimed that Arunachal Pradesh is their territory which is grossly wrong. All Indians should make an effort to resist buying any Chinese products
I really liked the MG 6. I think the design is a mixture of Mercedes and Mazda 6 but the finishing is perfect. I don’t know how many MGs will sell in India but what you said Rohan the passion and soul of MG’s history and even today is really strong. I would love to see those wonderful machines on Indian roads. I think people should change their mentality about cars or else maruti Suzuki will be the only brand to sell cars in India. People don’t even consider other brands before buying cars. It’s a shame 😐.
samdamn They have R&D and design centres all over the world. Manufacturing typically happens in India and China for almost everything in the world today
When I see the episodes of "up to speed" made by an American channel, I've always wondered how it would be if #PD makes stuff like that. Well, now I think I have the answer for that. You guys proved it, that's why #PD is still the best and unique in their own way. Great work #PD #PDarmy

PowerDrift music is disturbing
sir background music tastefully aur minimalistic rakho. Baar baar sound control karna padta h which is so irritating.
I saw the Chinese badge at the back of the saloon.
British history being sold to Asians. There goes their heritage..
Much like how Landrover is now "Indian" .. doesn't change its origins though :)

MG ZS EV is a good car for local commutes. Furthermore the electric motor of our EV give enough punch to startle many boy racer cars or even a Tesla.
Such a beautiful Heritage, Hope to see MG CE's in India before the electric take over !
Powerdrift making us proud ♥️
fuck the indian proud
@Mr. Rohan Albal: A very nice closing there. And with the super background score starting 13:23, I could just feel it. Good stuff PD Team.

The magnificent British MG motors is in the past and It is now owned by a Chinese company called SAIC and the cars are absolutely terrible!

It is now owned by SAIC motor Corp. Which is a Chinese company.

It would be better to see the brand die with dignity than to turn into these unidentifiable blobs. They're only MGs in name at this point.
Agreed. I own a MK1 ZT and this new breed aren't MG's.
Welcome to India MG Motors. Love to see such a brand with history and heritage come to our market. Very good video introduction for the brand and my favourite car from the video is MG A Roadster.#PDArmy
what is india? that shitty smelling and it is less progressive luddit country!

Super info and video bro ...So we can trust the brand for sure india welcome s mg motors
Background music is too distracting ..
Please tone it down a little ..
Aye, thank you for that feedback, Azzu. We shall use that to make better videos! :)

Keep up the good work #powerdrift ! Feels great to watch such content ...
Its difficult to hear you over the background music during the beginning

They are Chinese whom we should resist buying
To add further... Should boycott all Chinese products till they stop supporting Pakistan. China has globally claimed that Arunachal Pradesh is their territory which is grossly wrong.

Well it's was British but it's a Chinese brand now. So showing only one side of the story is bad!
It's still a British brand, only owned by the Chinese...it's headquartered in England.
