yes! someone finally explaining how to do things right when it comes to launching their clothing line! props to this dude for explaining in detail. This channel deserves more subs for real.
Absolutely true ! when I studied fashion one of my professors had worked 15 yrs for Anne Klein and she always emphasized that being technical about design was far more important than having creative ideas so we got that pretty clear. Both work together and if you have your target fit very well purposed then there are measurement tolerances and mistakes that can be allowed there are no standards brands find a fit that works so they create specs for every type of silhouette right? I happen to love every category in fashion from women's ready to wear to swim wear and now I am hand making shirts for men's and its great to see the feedback. I am consider manufacturing my own and doing my own QC, I think vertically set up companies do better at making their own products versus having to take in freight, import and other costs that surmount on the finished products. I love this topic, do you have anything regarding how to find financing for small scale production ? Cheers !
If you’re designer have some technical skills also, it will feed into your designing. Which will save you later down the line. Secondly it’s rare the first pattern will nail it, expect 2-4 iterations as you tweak slowly to get the fit and look you want. If dealing with leather, have a 1cm tolerance because of the material. It’s a different beast.
We are Running a Manufacturing company and exporting overseas, can you please suggest us any buyers requirements that we have to focus and explore and building a strong relationship with buyers.
