- 3 Life Changing Lessons on Happiness from a Waterhole in Africa
• 3 Life Changing Lesson...
Spending 3 nights at Antares Bush Camp & Umgede Underground Hide provided the perfect opportunity to showcase the stillness of African nature from eye level. I encourage you to observe the coming and goings of wildlife at the waterhole as your thoughts doing the same - coming and going. Some stay longer than others and some never even make it to the water's edge. Either way, try observe and acknowledge them without any judgement or attachment. I hope you enjoy.

Music: Narek Mirzaei - Almost Silent
Music of Wisdom: www.meditationm...
A serene and gentle meditation piece designed to cultivate tranquility and mindfulness. Embracing the power of stillness, this composition weaves together the resonant tones of a Tibetan singing bowl, the soothing whispers of subtle water sounds, and the expansive, ethereal melodies of the Armenian Duduk. The intentional silences between notes create a spacious auditory landscape, inviting listeners to immerse themselves in a profound sense of calm and inner peace. Perfect for meditation, relaxation, and deep reflection, "Almost Silent" offers a tranquil escape from the noise of everyday life.

Also, very cool to see you and Villiers create such different content from the same trip! 👍

This is great. Thanks Byron. Soothes the anxiety. I would LOVE to know how many GBs of footage you had from this trip..

My grandfather used to say “beauty is everywhere, but sometimes you have to dust off your eyes”. Well, this video felt exactly like that. It was so cool seeing all the animals through your lens! I was mesmerized by all the little details and at times it was as if I was seeing an animal for the first time. Thanks for the amazing video! 🙌
Those are some very wise words from your grandfather! I’m so glad you saw the beauty everywhere in this, it means a lot to hear that 🙏🏼

Thank you for a really great video. You spent a lot of time finding different ways to film what you saw and that kept it very interesting. We have wanted to spend time at Antares ourselves, but not managed to find the time yet. When was it actually filmed?
Thank you so much! It was a really eye opening and interesting experience there. Lots was learned creatively too. This was just two weeks ago. I highly recommend a visit when you do get the chance
@@WildWildJourneys I thoiught it had to be very recent. I particularly liked the way you focused on small things as well as the (obvious) larger things. It could so easily have been too long, but the mix of shot types was very effective and kept it very interesting throughout.
We visit South Africa from the UK as often as we can, but every trip is a compromise over what we can and can't fit in. We did consider Antares for one our trips next year, but in the end we decided on KNP followed by Mashatu. ANtares looks excellent though, so definitely one to go and stay for an extended period. People like you and Villiers have certainly cost us a lot of money!
@@smurgy99 thank you, I actually also keep the clips in these types of videos in the exact order they were taken in, which makes life easier and keeps it authentic.
Oh, I see. It must be so tough deciding what to include and what to leave out. Mashatu looks incredible. Villiers is currently there having an amazing trip 🐆
