@@FantasyInk I am halfway through the second book and the one thing still kind of confusing me is the intelligence of his animal pals. One time they are able to plan and execute complex strategies (like the plan with Barry in the beginning) but than they are mostly animals again, just with a better communication. It is not horrible but unlike with BoC it seems not to progress directly. Still, it was my first 5 star book this year for me. 5 means the book has impressed me or was nourishment for my soul or made me think about it (or a combination).
Blocking others from saying "First" :P Intersting book cover... I've gotten into LitRPG with Dungeon Crawler Carl so something more slice of Life could be fun... Now I want a Xanth-style LitRPG
Then I HIGHLY recommend Beware of Chicken for Xanth-style andslice of life mix. Heretical fishing is the first blend of all three (including LitRPG). where as TWI only covers LIT and Slice of life. *Some make pretty decent arguments the TWI isn't LITRPG at all but tomato tomato
Have not gotten to it yet, though maybe this upcoming week. I have a roundtrips coming up and if I can convince my buddy, I will try to make that the ook we pick.
Great timing, I am literally reading it right now (while having YT in the background). I am 25% in and enjoy it a lot so far. Lots of chuckles.
