I thought this as well and actually tried it. Unfortunately hide and seek has a completely different trophy category and counts as a DLC and has its own kill counter. So sadly It has to only be done in the main game

If your ps4/ps5 game file got corrupted, there is a slight chance that your settings/stats in game can reset. I’d recommend just keep going after it and eventually you will pop the trophy!
The trophy may be glitched and you may need to reset your PlayStation or fix your database/game file. Or maybe the game needs an update idk. I hope you get it solved soon!

farming it with people letting you do what you need was very underwhelming, would have been an actual challenge if u did it alone
