Filmation Evil-Lyn was pretty yellow sometimes -- it's important to remember back then they used cells that were painted by hand and after time the colors would begin to fade. So sometimes she would've been "less yellow' but she started pretty yellow and lined up close to the original toy. Nice review/look at the figures, Cob.
Yeah I really need to go back and watch myself. Just was a complaint I kept hearing so I kinda wanted to touch on it. Looks a lot less yellow on camera tho

You're first out the gate in my feed and I'm glad because I've been looking forward to these figures! Webstor looks great and I really want that statue. The Cat and The Spider is a classic episode. Evil Lyn looks great too, my only issue is the cape. I have the Super 7 figure so it will be a pass for now. Great review! I appreciate you not only being first but taking the time to edit in pics from the show and weapon bios. Makes for a well rounded and entertaining viewing experience!

Nice review. I think I am going to cancel my order flr Evil Lyn....very disappointed with the skin tone and lack of cape. Definitely an L for Mattel with this figure.
Yeah that's been a lot of peoples complaints. I mean both skin and cape wouldn't have been that hard for them to do come on lol
Oh man I didn't know these existed. They are so cool. I recently opened He-man cartoon and think that cartoon figures are much better quality and stand real stable, not prone to falling easily.
Yes they improved that I think. A lot of my origins have a bad right knee on top of problems standing already. These seem to have a much easier time. Thanks for checking out 🙏

7:02 I can look past the yellowish skin tone, but not giving her the cape is baffling. I really think Mattel is going to release a new version as an exclusive that's accurate to the cartoon. They know everyone will buy this one anyway.

Evil-Lyn is great!! She's not yellow like the vintage line, so that is correct. She was that color in the Club Grayskull version too! It's more of an egg color. I'd say it's very accurate. I love the shaping staff.

That's a bad design of Evil Lyn. Her face is too narrow, and overall Mattel made the figure much more masculine than in the Filmnation cartoons

I Really wish they gave Evil-Lyn her cape. It's not the worst omission but since the women are out of scale to begin with it's kind of a pain that they are cutting corners a little. But in all these figures look good.

Great Review looking forward to Lynn. Something about the Filmation look for Webstor has always bothered me but you know me I'll probably still get him. I didnt realize that many were out I'm falling behind on Motu.

I really like the light yellow skin tone on Evil Lynn. It always bothered me that OG cartoon Evil Lynn wasn't as yellow as the toy
See that's cool. I don't hear that too often about Lyn. Everyone talks about the other characters that don't look like the figures but never really Lyn. Yeah this figure is actually a good tone right in between the yellow and cartoon. I'm sure you'll like it. Thanks for checking out 🤘

Webstor is the perfect example why I despise the Filmation cartoon. If Filmation could make Webstor look almost exactly like the original toy then WTF happened to Clawful & Spikor??? The 80s cartoons made too many unnecessary changes. I wanted cartoon versions of the toys I was playing with. Not totally unrecognizable designs like Clawful or fucked up colors like on Trap-Jaw or completely different outfits like on Evil-Lyn. Of course they made sure not to fuck up He-Man or Skeletor. Gotta get the main characters right. To hell with the rest.
Yeah I feel ya on that man. I understand why they cut some corners cause it was easier flip cells for animation but some were just totally off like you said. Clawful was the worst imo.. he just looked so off lol. Thanks for checking out the videos anyways tho man 🙏
Filmations couldn't do anything without Mattel's approval. Sample art was sent back and forth to both Filmations and Mattel before the animation design was finalized. 🤔
