Allegro Barbaro by Bela Bartok, arranged by Tom Wallace.. Live recording at the Belgian national windband contest 2017. Windband "St.Cecilia" Rotem, conductor Jos Simons.
Shout out to my high school band director telling all the brass players to add three Fs to every forte/fortissimo on our sheet with reckless abandon. "Scare the audience" was the direction. Loved this piece
I've been looking for this song for years! I remember playing it in concert band in high school

When I hear this (very nice indeed), it confirms me when I think Bartok inspired many film music composers the last 40 years.
Well this sounds a lot better than my middle school band 😅
Nice ... Very nice.
This is the same arrangement of Emerson Lake and Palmer
Para nada, este es más apegado a la obra original en ELP le pusieron su propio estilo y dista bastante de esto.
OHHHHHHHH I knew Kieth Emerson often did renditions of classical compositions but I never knew The Barbarian was one.
What was the conductor doing
Claytons kids💧🔥💧🔥💧🔥💧. wya???
