As a teen in 1993, I lived in the boonies of Pennsylvania and didn't even have access to cable television. I had subscribed to Columbia House's Rock Video Monthly which had the videos for The Nude and Show Me Mary, which got me hooked for life. I'd love to see Catherine Wheel again, but it is less and less likely as the years go on. Dave was always the most generous with his time, and I always will have their music to love. My eight year old son is a big fan now, as well. He listens to Ferment and Chrome almost daily! ❤

Was never really into Catherine Wheel back in the day but do own 'Happy Days'. Great interview that's prompted me to delve into the rest of their catalogue. Thank you. 🎼❤🎼

Man I would have loved to see Radiohead open for Catherine Wheel..however I ended up seeing Radiohead 3 times and Catherine Wheel 6 times..my favorite concerts ever ! Adam and Eve is one of the best albums ever recorded. Dave is/was an excellent bass player.

My love for this band grows in esteem for every year, four amazing albums + a great b-side album. Great interview, thank you for the effort and work on this, both of you.

I still have have my letter from Dave Hawes. I remember getting all the updates for the new album "Valentine" on dial up internet. They later changed the name to Adam and Eve. Got to meet them and get autographs when they toured for the album in Philly. Fun times.

Thanks for this chat! Dave is so generous with his time. With so many of CW's contemporaries active today, and some tracks re-released earlier in the year, I'm hopeful we might hear some cassette demos/unreleased tracks in the future? A Cats&Dogs followup? :)
