The thing with Zoro is he is a monster who can be his own captain, but he loves luffy, just watch going forward……Zoro defines what true loyalty is like and luffy knows what unwavering faith in his right hand is
I really liked the discussion here about leadership and Zoro. And well... Zoro is competent and filled with desire to get better and he has a good work ethic etc. But don't mistake that as having good leadership skills. (Not that having those HURT the leadership skills in any way.) Luffy is a total newbie in being a leader. (in his defence though: He is 17 and has been a captain propably around a month at best since Zoro joined him. Less than 2 months for sure.) In fact Luffy hasn't even been a leader in the first place, at least not enough. He has been a *captain* so far, not a leader necessarily. I understand the instinct to think that Zoro would fit the role better, but the biggest reason why he doesn't, I think, comes down to their personal dreams. Luffy's dream gives direction to each of his crewmates, while Zoro's dream simply wouldn't do so. At least with this crew. Zoro's dream is to become the greatest swordsman, he can accomplish that by becoming good enough to defeat the current greatest swordsman so he can undisputedly be the greatest himself. Say if Zoro was the leader, what would they do? They would wander around pretty aimlessly while Zoro lifts weights and practices his skills, defeating random people he comes across (which isn't the best method to find good opponents anyway). His crew would just follow Zoro around just because, not being able to accomplish their own dreams while wasting time with just wandering around, which wouldn't benefit anyone. Not even Zoro. Luffy's dream however gives them all some directions of getting closer to their own goals. He wants to become Pirate King and his current goal is to find the great treasure One Piece that is believed to be somewhere in the Grand Line. Therefore Luffy wants to go to Grand Line and begin his search. Grand LIne is notoriously dangerous and mysterious ocean, full of strong pirates chasing One Piece and other treasures, with the Navy also focusing their main sources there to stop the worst pirates from causing havoc to the world. THEREFORE. The simple act of going to the Grand line, with the goal of becoming *the* *greatest* *pirate* brings all of their goals closer to becoming reality. While Luffy DOES lack proper leadership skills at the moment, it does benefit everyone if he stays as the captain. The status of the captain WILL require Luffy to acquire those necessary skills and mind sets of a true leader if he wants to accomplish his dream. And he does want to do so. Summary: Zoro IS really competent, but the title of the captain fits Luffy the best as everyone in the crew benefits from that. All Luffy needs is a reason to develop into the captain he needs to become.
I understand how you think that Zoro would be a good captain but I think that he wouldn’t be able to bring the current crew together, because they all have their own ambitions and it’s Luffy’s selfishness that pretty much made them agreed to join (of course with his other qualities too but his selfishness is what initially made him ask them to join) (look at Nami, at first Zoro was skeptical of her but Luffy really wanted her to join)
Hahaha, I would definetly choose Luffy a hundred percent as my capitan over Zoro, he IS the GOAT! 😍🥰 Also, this adventure without Luffy would be soooo boring, in fact, this One piece adventure wouldn't even exist. So no, I like Zoro, but I loveeee Luffy. There is a reason why every year Luffy is the most loved character in One Piece and is not only because he is the main character. 👍🥰🔥
Btw the scene early in the episode with Smoker fighting Luffy is filler. In the manga he still hasn’t ever been to the execution platform by this point. The scene where he bumps into Buggy is also filler.
Hey man new fan here i just wanna say that dont pay attantion to people when they say the pacing is bad why cuz that is cuz we see it week to week but you are good cuz yall gonna bench it just relax and enjoy your journy
CONTEXT TIME: legendary swords are measured in 4 grades: Supreme grade (Sajio O Wazumono) the 12 greatest swords in the world hawkeye black sword is one of them Great Grade (O Wazumono) 21 swords total, zoros white sword is one (WADO ICHIMONJI) Skillful Grade (Ryo Wazumono) 50 swords total, zoro new black sword is one (YUBASHIRI) Graded (Wazumono) unknown total, zoro cursed sword (KITETSU III) Also plz stop saying kuinas dad killed her XD she died of backstory-itis look up the fridging trope for how common it is and if you like zoro so much you should watch rob from rttv OP reactions, some of the dumbest worst takes i've ever witnessed
Ian: I like zoro because i am mature Also Ian: Laughs at every dumb thing luffy does On a serious this if you like zoro this much already you are in for a treat
Haha if Zoro did not meet Luffy, I think he definitely won't be a captain of any crew. He would probably drifting around alone, that's just how his character is. At first I thought the same as you guys, but thinking back on all, Luffy has what it takes to be a captain, it's just that his ability is not totally visible for an eye.
If zoro is the captain the crew will not last long time At least nami will not be here we saw zoro wants to leave her with the ship when she stole it Yes even the ship will not be here too! and i don't see sanji under him and you will see more
You know the community actually views luffy and sanji are best written strawhats but not zoro . Because zoro is introduced as a badass and perfect human and stays like that whereas luffy goes from an incompetent and naive kid to everyone acknowledge him not only as a captain but as a terrifying pirate . Luffy is too big for a small pond like east blue. He will grow in grand line you will see

Lemme say this as someone who proudly claims *Zoro is my favourite.*
"Luffy _is_ the G.O.A.T."
07:31 "That b@$tard Zoro! Look at him! He's mopping our floors!" 😂😂😂

Zoro isn't the type who would be under by anyone. And that says a lot on Luffy then.
26:28 You're forgetting that _Boro_ is literally S.I.U.'s version of Zoro. 😎
Wow never realized that
S.I.U?
@@pwner332 Author of Tower of God
30:29 BWAHAHAHAHA! Too early for that one! 🤣
