I am usually a harsh critic (probably because I have watched so many Chinese, Korean, and Japanese drama since the ones from1970’s.). “A Girl Like Me’s” story line is very refreshing. The comedy part was great. I have not laughed so hard since “My Unicorn Girl.” Both leads delivered a great performance, providing the audience the full impact of their emotions. Areas of improvement may be for the camera crew (some screens are shaky - camera did not have stabiliser?), cinematography, and film editing.

@@Brianna-uq7le spoiler. Forced happy ending. Tbh. Rong Xia again planned everything towards the female lead that made her very upset and asking for a divorce. But well, he just did thing as a man even without her consent. Then forced happiness scene as everybody on their honeymoon. The end.
Tbh. If this drama had more episodes, with Rong Xia character, the heroine would be like to have more sufferings, since he was very cunning and hard to be trusted. His character was a typical of heartless character when the time needed with any reasons possible (duty calls, her protection etc,) even if the way chosen had to hurt her. He could change his mood and behavior in an instant
