Hi Robbie! I'm definitely subscribed, and I hit the like button before even watching because I know it will be good. I love seeing your happy, smiling face in every video. Those allium bulbs are huge! They should put on quite a show where you planted them. The drumstick alliums will add to the areas you planted, and put on a nice show, too. The baby tears will be so pretty by the bird bath. I love the color of them. Thank you so much for sharing!
I love love love alliums. I've never tried ambassador because they are more expensive, but I'll be excited to see them in your garden! And I am also trying out the Drumkstick alliums for the first time this year! Can't wait for spring to see them all in my garden and yours.
Hi! Robbie, Alliums are the best way to keep moles and gophers out of your flower beds. After they bloom let them die back and become brown. Then clip the heads off and scatter where you want more. Don’t pull up the rest up. They will come back for years to come. You might want to plant the Ambassador Alliums 2 inches deeper than it says. This will keep the stems standing straight in the wind. I have the best luck with Alliums keeping critters out of my yard. You were smart planting Alliums at the back of fence. Moles and gophers come to your yard from your neighbors. 💙🦋💙🦋
@fabricandflowers83 I think it might be they don't like the smell lol which would make since. I pulled out my elephant garlic from one of my beds last summer and darn it that's where the moles started lol. I should have left them.
@ I am guessing the smell of onions they do not like. I plant Fritillaries bulbs. It works the same way. They smell like a skunk kinda. But, they work.
Robbie you always make me smile and have a better day, thank you for being so funny and real. The huge bulbs are going to be so beautiful.. The little bulbs are going g to make such a statement.❤❤
Hi, I grew 6 foot tall alliums this year. Planting more today for next year. The stems are so strong. Tip, once the blooms start to lose their beautiful purple color, just spray paint them a beautiful lavender or whatever color. The paint color held up until I just cut them down. I live in Northeastern Ohio, zone 6A, and rain didn't even bother the spray paint the whole summer. Worked great!
Drumstick allium are my very favorite! Love to watch the color change as the season progresses. They do multiply quite a lot each year. You were smart to separate. I just dig a larger hole and put in 10. That way when the rabbits eat half, I still have a bunch. This will be beautiful!
i absolutely love colorblend!! this is my 3rd year ordering (between 650-750 bulbs!!!) i have a postage stamp property here in Philly, but I treat tulips as annuals here because they don’t really come back and a lot of times the squirrels eat some of the bulbs so by the time they are ready to do their show maybe a third don’t even come up but they are spectacular when they do. Colorblend customer service is just amazing. Also best place to get your bulbs. Thanks for sharing Stacey from Philly.
Robbie I have the Globemaster alliums, love them. When they start turning brown I spray paint them with purple and get a couple more weeks of beauty. Then when they start drying more I cut them, spray paint again and put them in a vase on my fireplace. They have been there for two years and look great. Wish I could send you a pic of it.
how will you remember where you planted your bulbs? Will you place a tag? Especially when you plant your daffodils later. I just planted alliums myself. Exciting!
Good morning Robbie and Brent. WOW! Those are HUGE Bulbs... an extreme difference in size 😁 Question please... Will the Alliums come back the next year if you leave them in the ground in your zone? 🤔 I haven't planted bulbs before. (I like to stick with perennials, on small SS income) I garden in zone 9b Texas Gulf Coast. Thank you for sharing. Ya'll have a good day. 😊
That is a great price for those bulbs, Globe Master bulbs here are NEVER that big, they usually come chopped, some even a quarter of the size 😮 and would retail at $12-$20 for one! I never get Globe Masters simply because of the price. I try and find something similar for a better deal.
Il Love, Love, Love you channel and you will love the smaller alliums (I don't feel like looking up how to spell its name. In my Wisconsin garden they spread a lot, but are easily removed or moved to another location. They babies look like small chive stems.

Long story long! 😂 My favorite type of story, love your videos Robbie!
At least YOU don’t have to go through the chill period like we do! Bev in Michigan

What a great tip! I'll have to plant them in all of my flower beds. This year is the first year I have ever gotten moles lol.
That's going to be a beautiful ground cover, Robbie! Wish I could grow it here in Washington zone 8b.
I had no clue they kept critters out of your garden! This is exciting!! Do you know why they keep moles away?
@fabricandflowers83 I think it might be they don't like the smell lol which would make since. I pulled out my elephant garlic from one of my beds last summer and darn it that's where the moles started lol. I should have left them.

That is gonna be so beautiful in the spring! I love where you put the ground cover also! It adds a different green texture there and looks great!❤❤❤
I bought 80 allium bulbs from Longfield gardens and planted them in October. Cannot wait to see the show this coming year!!!
Robbie, you’re the absolute best ❤❤❤

I just ordered my first alliums ever (from Colorblends), got the Gladiator type since it was on sale 😂
Love the hoodie! Is there a way we can purchase one?

🥰🥰🥰
Will allium bulbs eventually multiply?
Thanks Robbie. I THINK I heard that alliums are heavy feeders? 🦃🍁💚
I planted 70 Alliums in my new garden to have Raccoons pull them all up while I was on vacation.
Uggg..
👍😊💜🌷🙏
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Where can we get that hoodie?
Bulbs still grow if they’re planted upside down 😂 it might take a little longer for the shoot to appear above ground
