Arguably one the finest ever batsmen produced by Pakistan and undoubtedly the best in this sport. Muhammad Yousuf ended up as an underachiever due to PCB's dirty politics and unfortunately he also happens to be an underrated batsman of his era. Had he been from India, Aus or Eng, he'd hv easily achieved 15k test-run milestone and been named as one of the greatests of all time. Alas! Still a LEGEND.

Muhammad Yousaf and Saeed Anwar were the only batsmen in Pakistan cricket team, who knew how to perfectly place a shot beautifully in gap among fielders.
Now that man is an artist for sure. Look at his footwork and drives... And in 2006, this guy was at beast mode breaking Sir Viv's test calender year record... Pure class 🍷🍷🍷
An absolute gem and legend. I was lucky to see him since his debut against South Africa in Durban test 1998 and must say his technique and skill was superb. He went onto score double tons on four occasions including 223 v England at Lahore 2006 hitting a record 1,788 test runs in a Calendar year. I also recall his magnificent 223 at Lahore against England. He had the composure to bat the whole day and take any bowling attack apart. Despite his excellent achievements he was a unsung hero and so what in the shadows of Anwar, Inzamam and Younis Khan. While Pakistan team politics and corruption was another story in his career chapter. Till this day I am absolutely shocked how the PCB management and skipper Wasim Akram did not select Yousuf to play 1999 World Cup final at Lords against Australia.

Inzi, Yousuf, Younis, Saeed Anwar and Miandad were the best. But Babar is the best batter Pak has right now. He may become the 1st Pakistani batter to get to 10,000 in both formats. Inzi in ODIs and Younis in tests are the only ones who are part of that club. I truly believe Yousuf could've done it easily had it not been for that stupid ICL.

1st ball-Full length ball in the slot and wide of off, Yousuf just drills the past the point fielder all along the ground for an excellent boundary.
2nd ball-This time the bowler bowls a good length ball angled into the batter, Yousuf just tucks the ball on the legside between short midwicket and mid-on for a beautiful boundary, played right under his eyes....excellent batting.
3rd ball-Short of a good length delivery wide of off stump, Yousuf rocks on to the backfoot and cuts the ball through the gully region for four runs.
4th ball-Again short of a length delivery which rose high once after it had pitched and Yousuf in quest of cutting the ball on the offside misses it altogether. Poor shot selection one must say as it was bowled wide and had he got an edge then it would've been a simple catch to the keeper.
5th ball- Short ball again but this time Yousuf was well in control on that occasion and steers the ball past the gully fieldsman for four more runs.
6th ball-Good length delivery bit too short and Yousuf steers the ball over the head of gully fieldsman for 4 lucky runs. Yousuf wasn't in complete control on that occasion but managed to earn 4 vital runs for his team.
7th ball-Full length delivery again wide of off stump, Yousuf got to the pitch of the ball and smashes through the covers for another boundary. Excellent shot as it was purely timing and placement that's made shot look extraordinary.
8th ball-Straigheter ball from Monty Panesar, Yousuf just nudges the ball along the ground to the fielder at mid-off for a single run to bring up his 50. Class batting that from the Pakistan batter.🎉
9th ball-Good length delivery which was carefully steered away to the boundary by Yousuf through the gully region.
10th ball-An off spinning delivery from Monty which was slightly shorter on length and Yousuf flicks the ball on the legside to pick up 2 more runs for his team.
11th ball-Straighter ball and Yousuf got to the pitch of the ball and drives the ball past the fielder in the short extra cover region to pick up a single.
12th ball-Excellent ball that from Harmison, pitched on a good length and angled into the batter which sort of cut him in half. The keeper too couldn't get any hand on to the ball and the ball rushes down to the boundary for four lucky runs.
13th ball-Short of a good length delivery which was clipped on the legside by Yousuf. The ball just fell short of the fielder at short mid-wicket.
14th ball-Short of a good length delivery, Yousuf just clips the ball round his legs on the legside for a boundary.
15th ball-Full length delivery which was smashed through the covers for a boundary.
16th ball-Good length delivery was steered away to the boundary through the gully region for four more runs.
17th ball-Short and wide, Yousuf just hits the ball through the gap in the point region for a boundary and with that shot, he brought up his century.
18th ball-Short length delivery was met with disdain from Yousuf. He rocked on to the backfoot for a short length delivery and pulled the ball for four runs.
19th ball-In the slot delivery was drilled down the ground past the mid-on fielder for a boundary.
20th ball-Straighter ball from Monty, pitched on a good length and went on to hit the pads of Yousuf, but looked sliding down the legside for me and so too for the umpire as well.
21st ball-Yousuf danced down the track to meet the ball on full and then smoked the ball over the long-on boundary for a maximum.
22nd ball-Yousuf on that occasion rocked on to his backfoot and cut the ball past the fielder at third-man for a boundary.
23rd ball-Poor delivery that. Short delivery and was pulled away to the boundary by Yousuf in the fineleg region.
24th ball-Yousuf danced down the track to come close to the pitch of the ball and then smokes the ball down the ground for a boundary.
25th ball-Short of a length delivery and Yousuf gently clips the ball past the diving fielder at short mid-wicket for a boundary.
26th ball-Good ball that. Good length delivery which was slightly short and was gently steered away to the boundary by Yousuf.
27th ball-Short of a length delivery which rose high from nowhere and Yousuf managed to hit the ball along the ground to pick up a single.
28th ball-Full length delivery was neatly hit for a boundary through the covers region by Yousuf. Fielder had no chance in stopping that ball from running away down to the boundary.
29th ball-Full and wide, Yousuf gone hard at it and managed to earn four lucky runs for Pakistan.
30th ball-Danced down the track but the bowler managed to find the outside edge of Yousuf's bat only to concede an unlucky boundary as there were no fielders in the slips region to catch that ball.Yousuf with that boundary brought up his double century.🎉
