Great work Stanty. Not sure you’ll qualify for an Oscar, but the car will win some prizes I’m sure. Let me know if you need a lift at anytime. I’d be more than happy to help.
WOW Stanty. I never realised just how much you were /are up to....and still are. Worra star you are. Can't wait to see how this progresses and to see it finished, up and running with you at the wheel. As for the Fiesta, well you know my love for them. Great big monster man hugs to you.
Absolutely loving the GP2 replica Mk1 Fiesta. I rallied one back in 1988/1989. A Signal Yellow 1300S road car originally, which my friend and I built into a rally car with 1760 X/Flow on twin 45 DCOEs. After I sold it, it went on to race in the Vecta Ford Challenge series, but I have no idea what happened to it subsequently. VJT 402S was the number.
Colin, appreciate your comments, yli bet you wish you still had it now, I am so sorry to have sold mine, I just loved looking at it, but I wouldn't have been able to move forward without it going. I bet the car was rather lively with that engine and twin 45s, what a car! All the best
Hello @projectrallyemaxi Just one of many cars I wish I had kept. But never enough money (or space) to do that. Or any inkling as to what they would one day be worth 🥲. I think I managed to sell anything worthwhile at the lowest point of the market! 2 x RS2000 Mk2 Lotus Esprit Turbo Talbot Samba Rallye Escort Cosworths (several) Peugeot 205 and 309 GTi Astra GTE 16v and the list goes on and on.............. Thanks for the build videos on the Renault project, really enjoying these. @@projectrallyemaxi
This will be a wonderful beast when its done! Love the fact youre going with the Honda/Audi drivetrain combo I think it will become a really great package in the car. Looking forward to the future updates!
cant wait to see this progress, where did you buy the parts for the bodykit and conversion parts please? and how did you find and source the car it self?
Cheers, much appreciated, the conversion parts will be arriving soon from Gemini Racing SK, they have a web site and excellent FB page, the body kit is from MC Racing in France. The build should become more interesting once those parts arrive, thank you for your comments, much appreciated 👍
