Thanks. My 79 started dripping at the lower rad hose. Followed it up and yep, right behind the pump pully. Bleh. Well, Just have to lift out the aluminum rad and E fan. Then go.

Would've been nice to see which direction you're turning the fan nut while loosening and tightening?
To loose the nut, turn left. That's in a 1988 ford f150 4.9L.
Were the water pump bolts to install the pump the same length?
